Torop is trying his hardest to send a message to his elder (and superior) teammates. Hopefully a message is received and the boys at least play with some compete tomorrow.
It’s been an impressive last 24 hours for Toropchenko as far as I’m concerned.
I dont understand how you can make millions of dollars, live the life most people dream of, yet not give a shit when the time comes to perform. Some of our guys need to step the fuck up
I’d love for Toropchenko to develop into what Barbashev has been for us over the last 5-7 years.

I think he is definitely a keeper for long term bottom 6 grit.
Put a C on one and an A on the other. Kyrou needs to hustle and Thomas needs to lose some weight.
I’m going to try and focus on how great this makes Torop and Alexandrov look – not as a knock against the other guys. It’s nice to see the less touted young guys come up and make a difference on and off the ice. I hope he continues to grow and is that tough middle 6 Blues hero we all love for years to come!

Toropchenko has been 5th, 6th, and 6th in total ice time over the last three games. He’s also graded out as our best player not named Binnington in the last two. He’s not just earning extra minutes. He’s playing well in those minutes too.
torp has been a bright spot in this mostly dim season. i like the guy, hope he can stay up permanently as a bottom 6er
I can’t help but wonder to what extent the young bottom 6 guys see a season like this as an opportunity to earn their spot for next year, while the young top 6 guys take it for granted that they don’t have to earn it anymore.
Glad to see our “best” and highest paid players to a message away from last night…
