You know it’s a good OT winner when they show 27 replays from different angles.

  2. AduroPinquis

It may not be entertaining to watch, but grinding out a win against a stingy team like that is something that good teams find a way to do. It’s these types of games that we’ll be seeing more often in the playoffs.

William “Sidney Datsyuk” Nylander with that edge work and steal

  4. khristmas_karl

William Nylander is a dirty little boy.

  5. labadee

That was one of the most boring games I’ve seen this season. Glad we got two points.

  6. anthonyd3ca

Of all the NHL games, that was definitely one of them.

  7. ProfessorBeast55

WILLY IS A CHEATCODE IN OT

  8. Throwaway5497346

    #Willy Styles Can’t Be Stopped

  9. Svalbard38

Some of y’all were talking mad shit about my boy Sammy Smiles.

  10. uggh-daddy-please

Matthews better figure it out honestly

  11. burton4416

Nylander didn’t even get a nod for the all star game btw

William Nylander is a Genius. He’s absolute. He’s the saviour of this planet. He is what this generation needed. He’s my lord and saviour, my idol. He’s a demigod. An angel brought to Earth to bless us all. William Nylander is truly a magic worker I mean, look at this truly magnificent player he has become. Its mind-blowing. A brand new wave. A brand new vibe. William Nylander is not only a hockey player, but an artist. He’s truly passionate about his sport. He was destined to bless our eyes. Watching William Nylander isn’t enough, I need him to be beside me. William Nylander is truly amazing. Thank you God, for bringing us William Nylander. If you ever feel sad, or maybe, down, just remember the world is 4.543 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as William Nylander. Young talent William Nylander. My King, My solution, my muse, my oxygen, my world, William Nylander.

Buying a willy jersey for this season was the best decision I’ve made in ages. Holy fuck.

  14. GrazedByMyMeatloaf

Willy is so good in OT. The way he just danced through and gets one under the glove and in was gorgeous

  15. Shabloinks

Will Nye the SEXY SCORING GUY

I Fucking knew it when I saw him with the puck in the corner

  16. Willy Styles making it look easy out there…a Leafs goal of the season candidate no doubt!

  17. CANUSA130

Did Matthews fall in love and get his heart broken over last summer?

  18. zaius19

My god I feel dirty just watching that goal, absolutely filthy. BRB il be in the shower

  19. eagleboy444

Obviously Willy deserves a MASSIVE shoutout!!…

But what an impressive night for Sammy. He made some really gritty saves to keep it tied going down the stretch. I’m not out here saying we have a guy who can rival Igor or something, but I’m part of the fanbase not pushing for a huge deadline deal for a goalie. And he’s why. Solid effort night in and night out (unless he has to puke.)

I’m not gay but I want to live in a log cabin in the woods with William Nylander. We won’t ever have sex, but there will be a simmering erotic undercurrent as I stand in the kitchen window watching him tighten his ass as he chops wood, shirtless, sweat pouring off his sexy Swedish body. I’ll run upstairs and masturbate, the entire time forcing myself to think of women while my thoughts drift back to Willy. I won’t be able to climax and I’ll eventually go back downstairs, angry. Sometimes we will look across the table and catch each other’s eyes, and in that second, anything is possible, but we both deny ourselves and go back to what we were doing. One day one of us will die, and the other will bury him outside the log cabin. Then he’ll go inside, pen a brief missive to his departed friend, and commit suicide, never able to deal with life without his one true platonic love.

  21. theguyishere16

I need a shower after that OT goal. Absolute filth

  22. IlikeTurtles1308

Remember people criticizing the leafs back in the day saying we can only win 5-4 games. Sure looks like we can win “playoff type 2-1 games”

What a beauty from 88. He has been money all year long

  23. cappo40

DUBAS, please just re-sign Nylander today. We cannot lose him

  24. Oasystole

How does that not get you completely fuckin hyped after a somewhat of a snoozer of a game

  25. pascalshaka

Dude has really hit another level this season. Willy is unreal

  26. Significant_News_638

If you told me in September that 70% through the season, there would be more games where Nylander was the best player on the ice than there were for AM34, I would of tried to sell you magic beans, and yet here we are

  27. thatsong

Glad to get the W, but holy hell that was a shitty game to watch

  28. TheLeadingRole

Thank you willy. Also thank you nhl for only making us play that boring team twice good lord

  29. PrimoThePro

I got exhausted just watching the buds in that boring ass conflict, they definitely earned their 2 points.

  30. JonnyAlien23

Dude, Brodie is so good at the little things. Whenever they dump the puck into our zone and he’s on the ice, I’m not even worried. The man is always solid as fuck.

  31. ilikepork

So I’m going to have my first son in a few months and I want to name him after Nylander. I thought my wife would be ok with it, but she completely rejected « Styles » as a middle name. AITA if I leave her over this?

  32. Level_Exercise_3939

We’re going to lose Nylander because Matthews want an extra 3M a year. This is literally our last shot at the cup in the Matthews era.

  33. GroundbreakingLimit1

hey just curious, not trying to be mean, but is everyone who thought that was a boring game under 25? because I’m in my mid 30s and grew up with some real low scoring battles exemplified by the New Jersey Devils, and I gotta say, I kinda love defensive battles. And I especially love seeing the Buds come out on top! and what and ending!

  34. As good as Matthews is, Willy has been every bit as good this year. I wasn’t happy with Willy’s negotiations with the leafs a few years ago, but he’s proved me wrong over and over again. This guy is way better than I ever gave him credit for. So fun to watch.
