Definitely a good approach. No addition makes us a bonafied contender right now. Either the current roster turns it around and plays to their potential and we make some sort of run, or we just try again next year with a team with a year of built chemistry under their belt.

That’s a perfect approach imo. The team has definitely underperformed, no one is arguing that, but I think we should 100% run it back with very little change.

Almost everyone is having a great year under Sutter, all under their second year of his coaching. So we should see how Huberdeau and Kads and the goalies are next year before we worry about « blowing it up ».

Interesting rumour in the comments that Lucic might be moved at deadline bc of his UFA status

That’s a great idea. Maybe if we can move Lucic at the deadline, we would have some more roster place to play around with

Agree. Plus, idk if I’m alone in noticing this but it feels like we’ve hit an insane amount of posts and crossbars this season. Given our OT record, if even a fraction of those went in I’d say we’d have a much better record.

Def don’t want him spending anything on a rental player but if someone that is signed long term becomes available and is an upgrade I’d definitely be down

There is no chemistry on the team. That’s the problem.

  8. Keep the first, let Pelletier develop, hopefully zary / coronato are ready for the NHL next year. If it’s not working out next season then a lot of the contracts are in a place to make some serious adjustments to the roster.

Perfect response from Brad here. Soft sell at the deadline and run it back next year!

He’s probably been told not to. I don’t think he’s the GM next season.

If coronato signs here next year we will rock it i think if he bails on us were fucked
