[Smith] Le directeur général Bill Guerin a déclaré que son équipe lui dirait avec son jeu quoi faire à la date limite des transactions. Qu’est-ce que l’étirement récent a dit? « Ils me montrent qu’ils sont sérieux. » Mon 1 contre 1 avec Guerin, pourquoi il veut être « très actif » dans ce qui pourrait être une semaine intéressante
#mnwild GM Bill Guerin said his team would tell him with their play what to do at trade deadline. What has recent stretch said? “They’re showing me they’re serious.” My 1-on-1 w/ Guerin, why he wants to be “very active” in what could be interesting week https://t.co/Qdt44escvh

I’m not convinced he’s going to change his strategy. Nor should he really. Force teams to make a good offer, not jump at shadows.
Conor Sheary makes too much sense. Pens player, from MA. I could see the Caps asking for a 2024 2nd though.
Barbashev would pretty good but likely cost a 2nd as well.
I’d be down to trade a 2023 5th for Dadonov.
The perfect trade would be someone like Vatrano last deadline.
Keep doing what you’re doing Billy G. No need to go out and get someone this season. We’re not 1 player away from a cup.
I dont see him going out and making a move on a rental player. But if there is a trade to be had for someone who he sees as a longer term solution then maybe.
I wouldn’t mind seeing more salary retention for picks type of deals.
Beckman officially back to Iowa per Russo
Money isn’t real. Bring us Timo Meier.
I’ve liked his strategy so far of accumulating draft capital for retaining salary so far.
There is no chance this team will do any better this year in the playoffs than last year. And I doubt Guerin can magically get someone on the roster like a Fiala. Somehow I have the feeling Guerin is going to keep this team in perpetual mediocrity. Just take your lumps. Should have just taken our lumps with Parise and Suter on the roster to actually save cap space. Instead you overpay for a Boldy who isn’t even close to being a Fiala or any other player making over $7 million a year. A panic contract extension for sure. I guess time will tell. Bottom line, DO NOT mortgage the future to try and make a playoff run. It did not work last year, and we are in a worse position this year.
Jackets beat the Oilers in regulation!!!!
