Oddly enough, we’ve been playing playoff style hockey all year. Low scoring, good defense.
I wouldn’t be all that surprised if we make a deeper run than last year.

We’ve started to make actual changes and seem a fairly good result because of it. The young blood seems to be kicking things up, and Hartman is pulling the rug out from all of us by going back to last years form. If the defense gets their cohesion back, there’s a non-zero chance that this team makes some noise in the playoffs

either there is weakness in other teams or the Wild is better than expected.
I say take advantage of the weakness.
I am not a Minnesota sports fan in expecting the worse.
But if GMBG does not bring in a scoring piece expect a one and done. KK is really good but he cannot play every shift.

It’s not the blockbuster season that last year was, but this is the right time to get hot and catch teams off guard. I’m already committed to a playoff miss, but open to being pleasantly wrong.

Too early, too early!

Fuck it, give me some kool-aid. All we need is a top six forward and we can plan the parade route. LFG

I’ve come to terms with the fact that they’re going to struggle a bit over the next couple years with the cap hell that the Parise/Suter buyout puts them in. If they make the playoffs, great, but if they don’t then it was almost kind of expected with the way they are strapped for cap space to bring in some guys.

The trick is being ready for playoffs by the beginning of April.

Lines are too inconsistent. If they could all click on all cylinders at the same time it would be something.

They look like a first round exit to me

But maybe this year…

MEH, wake me up when they discover what advancing past the second round is. 23 years and counting sans one season they have shit the bed. Post season does not excite me anymore knowing its just a 5 game extension of the regular season.

Just enough hope that the Athletic writers think we’re in the Patty Kane sweepstakes…

What is we are picking up all of these picks from side deals to deal them and a second rounder for Brock? 2025 4th rounder 2025 5th rounder and a second round pick for him doesn’t sound too bad 🤷♂️

I mean this is a « down » year in my mind and we already have 32 wins and 5 OTL in 57 games. Thats not bad for what I was expecting but yeah….only if we add a legit scoring piece somehow and grind out a series win or two this year just aint it. But I’m ready to be wrong.

I think nearly everything needs to go right in order for us to win right now. Defense, goaltending, PP, PK, KK, and more needs to be good for us to win. I find it unlikely that’ll happen 4 games in the playoffs and impossible for 16. If one of those things is bad, chances are we lose. Couple that with a coaching staff that has proven over and over to be unable to make timely adjustments, and a head coach who has never coached a pro hockey team to a playoff series victory (0-7), there shouldn’t be too much to be hopeful about.
