Are we really not going to get a first overall pick included atleast with a decent prospect. I’d rather resign him for one year and try to get better value next year. He’s not helping this organization out with a return which is odd since he got so much out of it

I’m feeling way saltier than I should be about this trade. Rangers fans really don’t deserve the blessing their about to get after most of them were adamant that they didn’t want Kane dating all the way back to last July.

Even if Kane goes, this doesn’t mean the end of Kane as a hawk. I’d rather see Kane go out there and win another cup than just waste in Chicago the rest of this season. Let us tank, get Bedard, and then the cat, and kaner will come back.

If he goes to the rangers all I gotta say is, they don’t deserve him.
If Kaner wants to go play meaningful hockey and go for another Cup, I’d say he’s earned that right. Maybe he’s just a rental and helps the team bring back picks and then signs back in the off-season to help the rebuild. That’s the ideal, but probably not likely.
Whatever happens, I’ll always be a fan, and I’m sure 88 will go up to the rafters and he’ll be in the Hall as the best American born player soon enough.
I’ll be happy for Kane (and Panarin), but gutted that he’s gone. I already know that I’ll be illogically upset about the trade return.
Also, fuck Bowman. I’ll never get over us trading Panarin or DeBrincat and him fucking up this roster and putting us in the mess we’re currently in.

Man I’ve watched Kane’s entire career. He’s been such an elite player for so long and there are more good memories than I can count. Would love to see him stick it out with the hawks but after the direction our team took I think we owe him one more shot at a Stanley Cup before his prime window closes. It would be a huge blessing to watch him playing with the bread man again too. Little strange that he will also be on the same squad as Tarasenko but this is 2023. The glory days are over and we are reaching the end of an era. I’m just gonna have to accept it.
Agree with others,. Commiserating a bit, its going to be brutal seeing him in another sweater after all the memories. I’m going to be extra salty if the return is shit. Kane’s talent and experience demands a top 1-3 prospect and FRP especially at 50% retained. The Blackhawks certainly wont receive that, but the rumored 2nd round pick and Zac Jones will be a fucking shanking.
Fucking hate the Rags. Why couldn’t Kaner want to go somewhere that isn’t a New York team, or at least go to Buffalo. It’s going to make me sad to hate him by association
