Let the negativity and doom and gloom begin lol
St Louis has to be a get right game if they want a chance at the playoffs otherwise I’ll be convinced they won’t make it.
Hope the rest of your night is better than that game!
That first period was… abysmal.
God this team blows. I just want playoff experience for our boys cause that’ll be so crucial going forward with this young franchise. But we’re slipping.
One more game in Feb and then let’s have a good winning streak in March.
I know Gru didn’t have a good day, but it’s hard to blame him when the offense fails to put more than 1 biscuit into the net.
we’re on to march
How is it that CBS sports is giving us a 81% chance to make playoffs? Aren’t we like 2 games from falling out?
Welp.
Not ideal.
Glad Ron is being conservative right now. After seeing some of the trades today, this team is nowhere near buying mode.
This little AHL/line shuffling experiment we’re in the midst of needs to stop ASAP. Put Sprong back in and get the chemistry back.
Oof looks like I picked a good game to last-minute be unable to watch. Next time a win, maybe 😆
on the one side we lost to some really good teams in the Bruins and Leafs, on the other side we can’t be bothered to show up against bad teams like San Jose. Team need to get their shit together and fast.
Anyone got Mike Cameron’s number to come burn some sage in the locker room?
40 good minutes after 20 abysmal minutes. The first Giordano goal was weak but pretty much the defense left Gru out to dry in that first period.
The kraken have not played consistently good hockey in like a month now and it’s concerning. They still have a fairly weak remaining schedule and the entire west is weak this season so I don’t think playoffs are at serious risk, but the team needs to turn things around quickly.
[Recap: TOR @ SEA](https://hlslive-wsczoominwestus.med.nhl.com/publish/9629100/15767152/12045420-3abb-4094-a535-06ad49eef5ca.mp4)
These guys aren’t making playoffs, nor should they.
The Kraken have had two previous slides and bounced back. This is the third and key test… lets go boys
Watching the sounders now. Frei makes a save and dives on the ball with no one around. My first thought:
« No! You’ll give up an O zone faceoff! »
Is it time to hit the panic button?
On the bright side, Shane Wright had a goal and two assists in his return to Kingston tonight.
Saw the score didnt watch the game how was it?
That was hard to watch. It felt like we made a lot of mistakes.
Honestly what can be said that isn’t news. The last few games have been a complete embarrassment. +90% playoff odds at the break and now they’re nearly out of the wildcard spot.
I’m ok if we miss the playoffs. I think we are one year away we need 2 more D men and I’m not for trading our draft capital to mortgage making playoffs this year
Gru needs to sit for a bit. .810 tonight and .818 vs. Boston. 10 goals in just over 4 periods is not good. The defense deserves blame but those numbers speak for themselves.
It’s easy to be alarmed after this week. The remaining schedule is favorable to the Kraken making the playoffs as a Wild Card. Lots of Anaheim and Arizona on the schedule, and those teams should be even worse after the Trade Deadline. And making the playoffs in year two would be a great achievement. But the missed opportunity of this week is hard to swallow. If they beat SJ and got a point out of the Boston game they probably make the playoffs as one of the top three seeds in the Pacific
I brought a friend who is a football fan to his very first NHL game tonight. He knows fuck-all about hockey, but as a football fan with a reasonably good head on his shoulders, he likes to dissect plays and has an eye for formations and such.
– “So what I’m seeing is, we’ve got about the same number of shots, but Toronto has much better shots. They’re getting shots in front of the net, and the Kraken aren’t.”
– “Toronto is much faster getting to the loose pucks.”
– “Toronto is making good quick passes, and the Kraken can’t seem to do that.”
– “The Kraken are turning it over a lot in the middle of the ice, that seems really bad.”
– “The Kraken can’t seem to work their way to the front of the net.”
Same holes we always see in their game when they’re playing like this are obvious even to a guy at his very first game. Just thought it was interesting enough to share.
PS, friend has a great time despite the outcome and has a whole new perspective on the game.
