I like Mukhamandulin's upside a lot more than Okhotiuk but there were recent reports that he might be better used as a forward so that concerns me. The picks are where I think the Sharks did well in this deal. You def dont want any players that are going to help you this year but the two 1st's could absolutely make that rebuild turn around quicker than expected.
Might be rooting for you guys to get Bedard. Better than the Ducks and keep him out of the East.
As a Devils fan I can say Grier schooled Fitzgerald here. If the Devils don't sign Meier, they gave away too much for a rental. I'm not sure this moves them to a bona fide 2023 cup contender. We don't have enough toughness and Vitek Vanecek was pretty rough in his playoff experience. Nikita Okhutiok is a bruiser who's a bit raw. Zetterlund is a very good player at the NHL level right now. And the picks

In all honesty, good hull for SJ. Beyond the picks, Mukhamadullin is a great prospect with a floor of a top 4 D-man (IMO). And Zetterlund is a young top 9 winger that can play on any line as an energy player. Despite Young's current feelings, SJ did well.
Devils getting Meier and not giving up Mercer is such a win for NJ.
It’s not great for the sharks but it was never going to be. I don’t think it was a D or F grade. Maybe a C- or D+ but with upside. But upside can feel insecure. Time will tell
