Jets fait commerce?
I had heard over the weekend that the #NHLJets may be done in the trade market. Still a lot of time to go until Friday, but gotta wonder how much this bad stretch shifted Kevin Cheveldayoff's thinking.
Still, if not now, when?

Hard to blame Chevy for throwing in the towel, but if he’s giving up he should send guys out instead of adding.
In this economy it may not be so unwise. I hate to say it but selling the farm for a rental seems rough. That Jeannot trade was nutty.
Nope!
To be honest, I’m not sure this is the year you go « all in » like the Bolts are, but making smart additions, like Nino are great decisions, by Chevy. If he can find a top-4 D at a « good but not gut the prospect pool » price, I’d say go for it. Otherwise, see what you got this year and see if you can repeat the success next year.
If we don’t add anyone else, what was the point of Nino? We have 1 more year with this core. If we don’t go for it now then what are we doing?

Keep in mind Scotty B says alot of stuff for the sake of saying alot of stuff.
I hope this is not true.. I really really really hope this is not true
He took a quick peak at the Wild, Florida, Tampa, Carolina, Boston, then Nashville stretch of games. Preds might be salivating uncontrollably right now (6 pts out of WC with 3 games in hand – won 3 in a row, 17 GF in those). Before our 1pm away matchup against them March 18th, they’ll have played only four bubble playoff teams (PIT, FLA, LA, and DET), the rest being against CHI x2, VAN, ARI, and ANA… And then they play Seattle TWICE at the end of March, and us a second time on the Apr. 8th
This is insane.
Win the west now while it’s ripe for the picking, than hope Helle can steal the SCF series.
With how the team is playing , throwing away assets isn’t going to fix the problem.
