Great deal for the devils, they keep all their top prospects. And Meier will sign a contract for sure. He wants to win the Cup, ain't not better place than New Jersey in the next 5 years to do that. Also he's got all his swiss buddies there.

The Sharks got a couple bottom 6 guys and are gambling with the late first round picks. Not a great return if you’re measuring in quality. But if quantity is the most important thing for the Sharks, they definitely got quantity.

Fitz sounded confident he is going to lock up Meir and Bratt in an interview shortly after the trade. No reason not to believe him, he has done a great job with the Devils.

The Devils have a young core that still doesn’t even have Nemec or Luke Hughes. Jack is still 21 along with Mercer, they are all young mostly besides Palat. Tatar and Haula will be gone after the season. There is also the Swiss connection with Nico, Seigs and Schmidd. This is the perfect fit for Timo, the devils are here to stay and compete moving forward they are only gonna get better as they enter their prime. Timo should take a slight pay cut and stay, perfect fit team!
