Stillman could hit, fight and nothing else. So glad we aren't paying him anymore.
Easy stud you are already spoken for, so no bromance with Paddy Alvin. lol
I've always hated Riley stillman, hated watching him play, hurt in every way. After this trade I did a little research on Josh Bloom after the trade and from what I gathered, people were thinking he was a diamond in the rough. He had decent numbers on shitty teams and he is praised for his skating and decision making. No complaints here, whatsoever.
Lets face it Dickinson was a salary dump so they had to pay to get rid of him. They got Stillman to fill a D void but quickly found out he is terrible. I am surprised anyone took him. They way he has played I would have expected him to clear waivers.
What if Josh is a late Bloomer? Then we will see who is amazing, lol.
Anyone notice that D prospects are not being shipped… we should be focusing on D prospects for future drafts… forwards seem like a dime a dozen Now a days..
To me Tyler Myers is the tank commander
He gunna be a late "bloomer"
Josh Bloom is a beast!
the thing is, bloom wasn't anything big for us and likely was going to be a trade piece at some point. Bryson has been abysmal and Stillman is still better than him so it helps Buffalo
Canucks fans are morons or these are " couch coaches " stillman is an enforcer physical play style. I GURANTEE Don granato will get alot out of stillman, BET
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 silly Canucks fans
Joyful Joyful we adore thee….
It's good that Stillman is going somewhere else that might be able to help improve him and he gets a change of scenery because it wasn't working out here. The best part is not giving up a pick to get rid of Stillman and also not taking back a contract that hurts the cap but on the contrary, freeing up more cap space. I just hope we can trade Miller before the deadline and get something good back while tanking even harder.
I heard Bloom is a glitch in the matrix
Heh sucked with the Hawks. We actually got a second? Are Macabe dumb sucked.
Vancouver will never win a cup. Destroying the city after their cup fail has cursed them. Failing with the Sedins prove it. Oh and Bure. Almost. Then he blows out his knee and was never the same. Yes two cup appearances. And two loses. Losers.
Essentially an AHL trade. Sabres are taking a chance similarly to Jost hoping a fresh new team will help revitalize Stillman. His performance was pretty decent prior to joining the Canuck’s so we’ll see if this pans out. As far as the cost, Bloom looks to be more or less like he’ll be a solid AHL forward. NHL potential very low, might become a sold depth piece in the future. Curious to see if Stillman can turn it around with the Sabres.
well as a sabres fan… This doesn't sound good lol
i like that the canucks are getting bigger and even if this guy ends up as a good 4th liner down the road, it's a win.
There still hot garbage lego give it a rest there going ti suck for another 5 years
As a sabres fan, I can't believe Adams could be this dumb. But maybe it's part of another trade or Stillman will prove everybody wrong. Sometimes good players play bad on a bad team.
Sabres needed grit & sand paper on the blue line. He fits our young defensive core age wise. Of course skill Dalhin is elite , power & Samuelson are learning on the job. Joker & Bryson are a work in a process. All still young and have a ton of upside
As far as players like Tyler Myers, and Oliver Eckman-Larson, they're not bad players, just paid more then they're worth, and I don't blame the players for that one bit, they were offered the money, and who's gonna say no to that? The issues with those 2 is purely on management, for bad contract negotiations. I'd have no problem with either of those players if they were paid according to a 2nd or 3rd line defenseman. Either of them would be solid in a bottom 4 role. top 4, with top 4 pay? Not so much. Stillman, on the other hand, hasn't done much of anything except cost the team goals. Glad to see him go, and hopefully, for his sake, things can work out better for him in Buffalo then they did for him here.
Bloom will never hit the NHL as as regular
You know it's bad in Vancouver when their fans are excited about getting rid of a player making 1.5 mil a year and acquiring a no name OHL prospect SMH. I pay no attention to CHL stats Bloom won't amount to anything.
So you're saying it's bad for the tank basically?
The Canucks always find ways to disappoint. If winning is worse than losing because it means you get a worse draft pick, you better believe the Canucks are going to start playing mid
Buffalo Sabres needed a tough hard hitting body checkin-defender" now they got one and he likes to Fight not afraid to drop the gloves and Throw haymakers" Buffalo Sabres will really embrace his style of hockey 🏒
Stillman is better than what most canuck fans are painting him out to be
Looooooooooooooool
As a sabre fan I hope stillman has some sandpaper and is a stay at home type. We need that on 3rd pair. And he's young still…still can develop. I've been excited about bloom since I've seen him play live a few times vs Erie otters. Feel like he could b good middle 6 wing some day. Maybe play higher or lower but has size and skill. But sabres loaded with offense prospects. They can't all make team. Hope we didn't give 1 away for nothing.
Great trade Canucks!! To get a prospect that is ppg guy in the OHL to fill the spot of the 2nd round pick
we gave up in the Dickenson trade while shedding 100% of the money, is genius!! Great trade!!
You going to eat ur words bud I have faith in buffalos system in turning average talent into good hockey player. Hawks and flubs 2 of the most toxic organizations but if this makes you feel better
