Saw this posted tonight on r/Hockey thought it was an interesting look at the current state. Wonder how this chart will look come Friday.

So… Half kidding (but, then again, half not). Is there anyway Nino can come back to Carolina by way of Winnipeg? Maybe Don is playing the long game?

And only one team will win

Kind of makes it look like being smart not to overspend or mortgaging the future by trading too many prospects and picks is somehow doing nothing. The Canes developed a lot of the talent on our team and continues to develop talent. We have many years ahead with this core. We have time to be patient. The owner says he’s not patient and obviously many Caniacs aren’t patient, but I love what we’ve been doing. Standing pat and keeping prospects will stand the test of time and the Cames are a better organization for it.

It’s not for lack of trying.

At this point I choose to believe, until we actually do something, that we are still in on someone big who is not « untouchable » for the right price. We might have to wait for our moves until the deadline day and I would rather sniff copium until then.
*takes a big whiff*
There’s a lot of conflicting information on EP and his future with Vancouver.

I hope we can get some combination of Chychrun/Schmaltz/Bjugstad/Ghost over to you guys. Helps our tank and I always love to see a fellow non-traditional market do well.

As the hurricane sits offshore, calmly waiting and gathering strength, those on the mainland are raiding their supermarkets, buying up bread and water, in a vain attempt to protect themselves once the inevitable happens.
Dread it, run from it, the hurricane arrives all the same.

Weren’t there talks of Dylan Larkin? I think he’d be a huge addition if the Canes were willing to make it happen. Probably a couple of top picks and prospects too.
