I remember a couple years ago when everyone was piling on McDavid, saying he was a great player but had kind of a weak shot. That if he just worked a little more on his release, he’d have a chance at 40-45 goals.
Now he’s got 50 and its not even March yet. The guy is absolutely unreal. At this point, I feel like if scoring continues to go up over the next few years and he decides to take a run at Gretzky’s 215, fucking hell he may have a shot.
It’s like he saw Matthews score 60 last year and was like « I’m gonna do better » and then delivers. The only ceiling on McDavid’s skills is his own determination.
