  1. Good show today. I agree we were playing better when we had all the injuries and I wondered what would happen when they returned. Now we know. Today's show reminded me so much of last summer when I watched every day. What an agonizing summer it was. We did practically nothing except change the coach and it appears we are now paying the price.

The honeymoon period with Mr. Bowness appears to be over. I remember how positive he was at first, but on Sunday's post game he seemed to be clearly on the defensive, exasperated, and off his own game. His statement about liking the energy was ridiculous. Not the time to be saying he saw improvement after a loss like this. It made me wonder if the day off on Saturday was for the players or if he wanted a break from the team. Cannot say I would blame him. I think it's possible Rick has found out what the problem with the team really is and he can't change it. I think it's something Paul Maurice could not change either. In his body language and in his speech I detected a sense of "What did I get myself into?" It may be a problem with sacred cows or some interference from upper management, but whatever it is I'm beginning to think the coach's hands are tied on the issue, no matter who the coach is and that's very sad.

I'm originally from Windsor so having fun watching the Red Wings right now, while I wait for the Jets to wake up. Yes, I'm older so I did see Gordie Howe play at Olympia Stadium. Those were the days. By the way, there was no such thing as a "Gordie Howe hat trick" back then. I don't know who started that, but it was never a thing in Detroit during the many years I was going to the games. I never even saw Gordie fight. I laughed when I first heard that phrase being used. Players were too afraid of Gordie to drop the gloves.

  2. So many people are putting the blame on Chevy, but none of his transactions that I can think of were ever criticized as being a bad move when they happened. In fact everyone has commented on how well the team has drafted and traded

  3. What Hammy said is true, the jets can't play hard-nosed crunch-time hockey. They fade in the latter half of the season when the games intensify. It's been the pattern since 2019.

  4. I honestly think the jets have a above average team, hellybuck is amazing. Get some grinders (bottom six) and honestly they might get passed 2nd round.

  5. Huss out hammered The Hammer today. Make Hustler the special assistant to Chevy to provide some guidance on “diminishing returns”
Bowness just learned all he needed to know about this team in the last few games. There are players on this team you can’t win with and have to go. Also if you don’t want to resign, goodbye. The sooner the better. Fans want a team that has pride, gives a shit and plays to win. Get Renny on before your do your Deadline show and don’t leave a scrap of meat on the Jet carcass.

  6. Gotta believe this is the last chance to go all-in on a playoff run for this core. If Jets aren't going to mortgage their future now, then what are they doing bringing in Nino Niederreiter.

Niederreiter for a 2nd round pick is good, but if that is their only move before the deadline then that only says they have no plan to win now and no plan to win any time soon.

Also… Remo muting himself will never get old 🙂

  7. I said a month ago they were done, and I am right. Face it ….. unload as many top names as you can for draft picks, and when I say unload, start with Chevy at the top of that list.

Sweet Jesus what has to happen to get a new GM and I don't care what time in the season it is. He should be gone by end of business tomorrow. Once attendance starts to decline and you stick with the same business plan ….put down the crack pipe. No heart….No hits…..No problem….NO PLAYOFFS…. .just build a bigger press box, that's where half of them belonged for 3 or 4 of the last games.

  8. Scheifele to Flyers for 23,24 1st rounder. PLD & Hellebuyck to Montreal for Suzuki & their 23 first rounder, & 24 3rd.
