Thank you for that amazing story about Schenn. I am a die hard Canucks fan and would NEVER cheer on the Leafs.. but Ill make an exception this one year. Go Schenn!
Might be pink googles, or it might be a lack of hockey knowledge (relative new fan in a European country where they don't play hockey)
But I like the trades and do think that with the extra grinding this team can do now, we might go all the way.
The Hockey Gods are pleased today with Schenn returning to the Leafs. They actually have a chance to get past the Bolts and get to the finals!
Canucks are stupid to trade Schenn i mean really stupid…..we love Schenn in Vancouver and didn't want to see him traded. its a sad day for me, by far my favorite player on the team.
Schenn won 2 rings with us, happy for him to retire back in Leafs and enjoy a long summer while we try to win another ring. #GoBolts

I'm genuinely happy that Luke Schenn is back in Toronto. Makes me want to see this team go deep just for Steve to finally witness a Leafs cup.

Schenn was my first hockey crush, all time favourite player. He was drafted when I was in Grade 8. I lined up at the Pickering Flea Market to meet him lol This is huge for me as a fan and someone who grew up in a not great era of Leaf history. Welcome home!

I hated the team that Dubas built in the beginning, the contracts, the trades, the soft team…
Dubas, in my eyes, has become the best GM in the league. I haven't seen a terrible contract signed by him in years.
I hate trading away draft picks but if O'Reilly re-signs than it wasn't for rentals but I liked all the deals he made.
What goes unnoticed by a lot of people is that he has made this organization a player friendly environment and a magnet for free agents.
Dubas will get us a cup if everything continues on this road, sign him Shanny before you lose him
He brought goal keepers before the season. Now he brought some good heavy D. And by all indications they are harder to play against than some of the current roster. And he brought some good centres and forwards. Again harder to play against.
He didn’t bring a flashy forward. As Kane I think he was all over Chicago trying. He may go out to get Miller with the last two draft picks he acquired.
I played defence growing up and when they drafted Luke Schenn that year I was super excited. He became my favourite Leaf at that time, and I always hated how he much they put on his shoulders at such a young age, so glad to see him back especially after the 2 cups in Tampa and reinvigorating his career

I think these trades are exactly what the Leaf's need to to play some gritty, playoff hockey. I actually believe they are going to get to the second round and give Boston a run for their money, but beating Carolina or New Jersey, I don't think that will happen. Just Deadly lineup though! Go Leafs Go! 😀

Luke Schenn return reminds me a little of the Gilmore return. Team going all in at the trade deadline, bringing back an old timer at a way lesser role. That was aweso… oh… shit. Hope it goes better this time!

Really it was the Canucks that gave him the opportunity to reclaim his NHL spot. Tampa picked him up for 2 years and Bob's your uncle. Leaf fans will love him but will be sad when he is back in Vancouver this summer.
