Guys give your head a shake ……they get a late 1st round back and they shed salary. The fact they took Gustafson is not to run the PP. Sandin is a soft playoff performer.he cost them 2 games against Montreal a few yrs back

Morgan Rielly is a great human being, but he is so soft. Players just walk right past him. All those points he has, and he's still a minus. He doesn't seem to be getting the message.
this does not effect morgan at all ..your mindest set on this show is sometimes off n this is one of them this help everyon on the pp ..1st or 2nd pp ..morgan aint going no where it just made us better and now we got schenn as well ..so im very happy with these moves everyone should be too
I don’t know if Gustafson gets in the lineup. They’ve traded for 3 defenders and only sent one out. I think Schenn replaces Holl and McCabe replaces Sandin, but then I don’t see anyone else in the top 6 moving out.
Them needing someone to run PP1 is about the 7th reason on the list for this trade. Sandin didn't want to be here, they didn't want him, they needed the cap room, they restock the 1st picks cupboard a bit… Gustafson is very much the minor part of this deal.

The Caps definitely got the best deal here. Sandin will end up being better than the guy the Leafs got. As for the pick, you never know what you’re getting and how long do you have to wait to see what you have. Sandin was never given a solid chance. As for Lilegren, he was drafted “Before” Sandin.

Sometimes you have to make a trade like this to better your team now with all the moves Toronto has 22 games left so they are a much better team going down the stretch of the regular season and into the first round of the playoffs
