  1. It’s looking like we’re running back this same group next year and hoping goaltending figures itself out

  2. Mightyspacetree

What a year for Flames statistics

  3. Paulhockey77

Brad ain’t doing anything bc he knows his time in Calgary is up

Edit: downvote all you want you know it’s the truth

  4. lemonvictor_

I fully understand why we likely won’t do anything
But by Scorch I’d also love to see something lol

  5. gummy_bear13

Who are we supposed to trade? Who are we supposed to get? And to do what for us?

  6. durstcobain

Just need to snag a Gaudreau and a Tkachuk, they don’t even need to be the same ones as before.

  7. DOITLIKEBRUTUS

Too bad to go for it

    too good to tank

    Welcome to purgatory

  8. Puzzleheaded-Sea911

Well, we aren’t getting shit for any of our good players, and there are no good players left to trade for.

  9. willshire59

I don’t want them to do anything tbh. What do we do sell our team to maybe get a wildcard spot to be out first round. No thanks. Write this year off and move onto to the next.

  10. We have tremendous offensive talent, tremendous defensive talent and a Vezina candidate goaltender, all of which are seriously underperforming.

Maybe firing the coach would fix the problem, but I don’t see an easy solution to this at the trade deadline. It seems like more of an offseason problem.

Now, if someone wants to offer us an unreasonable amount for Toffoli, maybe we should take the call. Otherwise, I think we go down with the ship and evaluate things in the offseason.

  11. Less-Ad-1327

Have the panthers made a move?

  12. Only answer is to bring back Iggy and Kipper

  13. Less-Ad-1327

We arnt signing all of toffoli, backlund, lindholm, hanifin, zadorov and tamev at the end of next seasons. Prices have been crazy. We should definitely sell high on or or two of these guys

  14. maz2305

He shows the same determination on the phone as his team does in front of the net.

  15. 403DonOChron

We’re a bust in all aspects. Won’t leverage any trades, and will be the exact same team next year. Why not try to get a goalie right now?

  16. Has a Vezina-Caliber goalie ever fallen off a cliff like Markstrom has this year?

  17. Flex1855

Your gm is still tired from all the trading last summer

  18. BannedRemovedDeleted

How about trade Kadri to Columbus for this Johnny Gaudreau guy and maybe Huberdeau for that Tkachuk brother in Florida?

  19. Gramachukka

Who would we trade? And what would we gain?

  20. unexceptablelydumb

What’s he supposed to do? How could anyone expect more than what we’ve had this season? Everyone needs to forget last season.

  21. kingofstorms_

The first thing he should do is replace Sutter

  22. Flaming_Eagle

Can we trade for a new goalie coach?

  23. VictorHelios1

Hard to make trades when the team has no idea what it is or how it’s performing on a day to day basis. This team is seriously bipolar or something. How is any gm supposed to make heads or tails of this team when it dosent even know itself?

  24. xThunderstruck33x

We should be selling hard right now. This team ain’t winning a cup with a core of Huberdeau, Kadri and Weegar.

Lindholm, Backlund, Toffoli could get a huge hall for the future.

  25. kwobbler

No one available that’s going to turn this season around. Better off to wait to the off season and make moves then

  26. Comfortable-Ad-7158

Making a move for sake of making a move isn’t worth it. It’s late in the deadline game. Ain’t nothing happening and I’m okay with that.

  27. ruralrouteOne

    I’m glad we aren’t.

If we have even slightly average goaltending this year then we are comfortably in a playoff position. We’ve shown throughout the season we can carry the play, but this group just hasn’t turned that last corner. That’s hard to do when your goaltending is undermining you at every turn.
