#NHL #Edmonton #Oilers #EdmontonOilers #Chychrun #NHLTrade #NHLTradeDeadline #TradeDeadline #Hockey #Trade #HockeyHighlights #Viral #Trending #McDavid #ConnorMcDavid #TradeCentre #TSN

Did the Oilers miss out not acquiring Chychrun?
Let us know 👇
As a Senators fan… thank you Pierre 🙏
With Chabot, Brannstom, Sanderson, and Zub. With Chychrun being added the Sens have one of the strongest defence core in the East.
If their goal tending can be more consistent and their offence can continue, I wouldn't be shocked if they sneak into the playoffs.
Kinda wishing the Canucks would have gave up one more pick. But hey Hronek should be good. Right?
Senators are really firing on all cylinders despite the game against Carolina lately. They are gonna scare me a bit if they can get in and have to play the b’s round 1. (Ps. Prop bets for overs on SOG for stutzle, Brady, giroux, and chabot are some do the best plays out there for nhl)
Let's gooo Sens!!! Moving in the right direction.
Sens crushed it.
Craig makes this about Edmonton? Really. Sens made the trade happen. Why lol
Chychrun is the tipping point where Ottawa might go from being so-so to quite good all in one move.
Ottawa's team D has been suspect for the last few years. From time to time, when it would look like that maybe the D had stabilized one small injury would shoot it to smithereens.
Now moving forward with Chychrun added and the additional year of development behind both the younger D and the defensive play of the forwards, plus actual competent young goaltending (hello Sogaard and Mandolese), Ottawa might actually have that consistent and stable D they've been coveting.
Somebody tell Button that Edmonton would have had to offer more than Ottawa, because the oilers would need Phoenix to retain salary, not to mention Ottawa's first "should" be a lot higher in the draft than Edmonton's
Steal by Ottawa
Behind the Canucks. Sens are my favourite Canadian team so I like this trade. Heck I might switch over altogether and be a Sens fan full time at this rate. We’ve been rebuilding for a decade and we still don’t have a clear direction. Acquiring draft picks then trading them away
The coyotes weren't gonna take money back. that's why the oilers didnt do the deal
Edmonton could have offered Arizona the same package they used to get Ekholm and the Coyotes probably turned it down thinking they could play hardball and get more. Then in the space of 24 hours the entire market changed as everyone got tired of playing games with Arizona, who was forced to settle.
3 goobers, 2 of which look like Pedos. Period.
Great move by Ottawa I am sure Chychrun wanted to leave Coyotes for a great Canadian team who plays in a really nice arena too 😀
Yotes weren't willing to take salary back.
Really enjoyed this oilers discussion in a video about an Ottawa trade…
Obviously the price dropped significantly since both oilers and kings went another direction
Biggest loser in all this: Arizona
That Ottawa team is turning into something special. Ryan Reynolds has got to be pumped to get involved.
Ottawa trade and they spend the entire time talking about Edmonton, yawn
Lifelong Canucks fan but wtf. Again wtf. Wtf wtf wtf. I thought Jim benning was sending mixed messages. These guys finally give us some hope with 2 first rounders in the deepest draft I. History. Then they trade first second for a 25 yr old rd.
Since we're talking about Edm , hope they get EK65
Oilers just need ONE MORE FIRST OVERALL PICK and they will have a chance at the cup!!
These comments didn't age well after edmonton beat the leafs 5-2 and Ekholm with an assist
great move for ottawa. Looks like edmonton missed the bus
If there's nobody left to trade at the deadline can the tsn analysts have a shinny game against the sportsnet analysts instead of the regular coverage… you can donate 1000$ to charity for every goal your team allows
LOL Craig's reaction "That's it?" W Senators
Over the past 3-4 years ole dorian has pulled off some nice trades. Much better than I expected after all the hate he got tearing them down.
Ok, we get it Craig, bad for Edmonton. How about you analyse say, the return for the Coyotes here, instead of focusing on a team that wasn't even directly involved?
This might be canadas first dynasty in years
Pierre waited and waited and waited until the market shifted a bit and it was time to jump on the deal. Takes guts and patience. He was not going to part with young assets. He got shafted in the Duschene deal, he learned from that. He likely also regret his Zibanajad deal. He learned from that one too. He is now a battle harden GM. Plus he has a little bit of Cap space which is guarding fiercely. Notice that none of the big stars are getting north of $ 8 million .. so he not locking a ton of money in a few players. Let's hope for a great month of March. Its a very long stretch and very low probability but it is possible to make the playoffs.
Don't like what Sens GM has done prior but this trade is good as long as he signs him long term
Button is wrong about everything. Eckholm is the perfect addition for the Oilers – as a Swede the weather won't bother him, they have some young D that need a veteran player to look up to (gold medals mean something) and if you check out the highlights from last night, Eckholm fits seamlessly with McD and Drai – Chychrun is too young to be a mentor on this team and was born in Florida – he would HATE the weather in Edmonton… Eckholm is the right guy for the Oilers….
