Glad to see that GMBA is still alive. Kind of underwhelmed at the return, but there are still good players getting picked up in the 3rd round (e.g. Maccelli).

Removing GhostBear from the lineup is also good for the tank, which took a big hit last night.

I’ll really having him on the team. He’s a great player and I wish that we were in a competitive window so we didn’t have to sell him off for parts.

Very underwhelming return. But not being willing to retain on it explains some of that.

A third? Considering we got compensation for taking him im chill with this but man I feel we could’ve sneaked a second. 2026 third isn’t super appealing.

  4. Unless we plan on signing him back in the off season this deal kind of sucks.

Really hope we can trade Chychrun soon too, I can’t imagine he’s too happy especially after this one

Hmm.. I guess I was expecting a 2nd but what can you do. He was a fun guy to have on the team and we got picks for taking him and a pick to trade him away so I guess you can’t really complain.

Maybe Bjugstad goes for a 2nd because he’ll be an easier guy for teams to take on at his cap hit, especially since we aren’t willing to retain money. At this point, I have no idea what to expect with a possible Chychrun trade??

This is getting embarrassing. Not even a 2nd?

He said last night that it was when not if he got moved so it makes sense. Hate it though.

I don’t think you guys are looking at the whole picture here. We already received 2022 2nd, 2022 7th to take Ghost in the first place because a team thought he was so bad they had to contract dump him and all we gave in return was « future considerations. »

We now just turned a profit on that deal for another pick, a 3rd in 2026.

Everything revolving Ghost and the Coyotes is a solid win for us. There is no way any of this could be considered a bad deal.

That’s a shame. At least he hit his 300th point and 500 games played milestones with the Coyotes.

Please pull a Vermette, win a cup in Carolina, and then sign a 6 year deal with us over the summer

Good luck Ghost! Have fun on the Yotes east coast affiliate.

His remaining cap hit made him hard to move. Carolina has the space.

Keller, Schmaltz and then Gostisbehere have been our most creative and intelligent players offensively.

He’s going to be a major difference maker for the Canes and that exposure is going to earn him another nice deal in free agency.

I think we could have received more in return, but I am happy that we did the best thing for him as a person and letting him move on with another opportunity to shine.

Players and agents notice and appreciate those things which makes us more competitive in the free agency market once we reach that point in the rebuild.

    3rd round pick in 2257

God speed, Ghost. I can’t have anything but the most respect for him. He ended up here in the worst situation and played his heart out. I hope we can see him win the cup.

Man I love Shayne & Jakob, and I’m extra sad because if they weren’t going to be Yotes, I would have loved them both to come home to Florida. Oh well. Hopefully Yotes can build off the trades.
