  1. You can definitely tell from Larkin's emotions that Bert was his boy, but this is a process and a business. You gotta take it. I honestly trust Steve in the process, and am excited to see what the future holds for this team.

  2. I know it's a business and all the other layers that apply particularly to us like the rebuild window and all that. This still sucks though. I'm happy with the returns today, but losing Bert is hard. I genuinely hope he comes back this summer.

  3. So many dumb questions like they just got out of journalism school “did you ever think Yzerman would be in your kitchen growing up”. Those questions were ok when he was a rookie but come on now

  4. As a Bruins fan, I feel bad that Larkin lost one of his good friends on the Red Wings. Losing a friend is a tough thing to go through. We’ll take good care of Tyler, Dylan. I have so much respect for you and the Red Wings organization.

  5. Poor kid. Keep those newfound 8 figures in ur mind next time u get down about bert leaving. 😎 glad to have ya locked in for the next 8 years.

  6. why arnt these reporters asking the boss Steve yzerman these questions?!đŸ€·â€â™‚ïžđŸ€”

  7. Congratulations on the contract Dylan, it's a huge win and you have been earning it lately. As far as losing your friend, you never really lose such a good friend, there will come a time when you both will look back with smiles…

  8. The Bruins were going to win the cup this year without Bert, now it’s a lock!
Maybe we’ll get him back next year?

I wonder if Larks would’ve signed if the Bert trade happened first?
    Probably.

  9. I’m interested to know if beat writers have to talk over each other or if the Wings could get a moderator – it’s annoying to hear them have to figure it out.

  10. What a rollercoaster. Last week it was looking like the playoffs were in reach and maybe add at the deadline. This week 2 bad games and we sell bertuzzi. Im sad

  11. Bert wanted too much money and too much term for someone who has struggled to stay healthy and hasn't produced much this year when he was healthy.

  12. Bert will not return to the wings. He will command too much money after winning the cup with Boston and his age will not fit into the wings timeframe. His Detroit days are over. Wish him the best.

  13. Happy to see Hronek gone and thrilled with what we got for him. Very sad to see Burt leave my Wings because he was always a gritty player who gave his all and over the years became a talented scorer. This year was very tough on him injury wise which occurred during him blocking shots. He never really regained his former form but I'll always be a fan of this brave man. He was the only NHL player that I know of who stood up against the jab and was always a team-first player. We got a good return on this trade though. LGRW
