Oh my god, they’re really not going to do anything, are they?

  2. LCLeopards

Maybe if this team had decided to sell earlier we wouldn’t be in this situation. You don’t put a food truck outside of an all you can eat buffet and expect people who already had their fill to buy from you too!

  3. MajinSkull

Dear god every time I think we can’t get any worse

  4. VileHooligan

Fucking impotent management that’s deemed totally acceptable up top. There’s no reason to give this organization a dime of your hard earned money or a second of your attention.

I can’t find the tweet right now or a conflicting one but I’m pretty sure Chychrun practiced a couple times too while being held out. I wouldn’t worry about this, more that Fletcher is an NHL terrorist

Hey we still got a whole day left before the deadline. Why rush a trade when you still have all that time to make a deal. Chuck just waiting for all those good offers to come calling.

  7. DH28Hockey

One day I’d like to have a 1-on-1 sit down with Chuck and pick his brain on how he’s able to have such strong job security while simultaneously being as bad at his job as humanly possible. Truly masterclass on his part

  8. Phillyvegas24

JVR is going to for like a 6th solely because Fletcher waited so fricken long and every other GM basically lapped him in the race to sell off assets/players.

  9. CrunchyKorm

Holy shit they’re actually doing it

  10. I’ll wait until Friday to judge the deadline. If JVR is not traded by then I might actually be done.

  11. Micksar

This is Wayne Simmonds all over again. Gonna trade him last minute for the only deal left on table.

  12. it_do_be_like_that__

Hahahaha this is just comical. I can’t do anything but laugh. I knew he wasnt gonna be able to move shit cause of the awful expensive contracts he signed. No one wants mediocre players that are being paid an all-star’s salary

  13. briandeli99

Teams were worried he was hurt since there was news he missed practice over the weekend, playing last night and then practicing today helps the notion he is not

  14. AngledLuffa

Fucking hell. Just fire Chuck and put me in charge for two days. I can’t promise any decent results (no 1sts for JVR, sorry), but I’ll get what we can get for as many players as we can

  15. l_rufus_californicus

    Rearranging deck chairs on *Titanic*.

Well, folks. At least we few who are left can know we die in good company.

  16. Motor-Temperature956

    This means nothing guys

  17. Consistent_Project95

Chuckles can’t get anything done. Total incompetence

  18. Snips_Tano

I’m telling you – if they don’t trade JVR they are going to extend him.

Not relevant to this thread but I just need to vent about how annoying it is being a fan of this team. We suck at selling high. We sold, the team’s captain and face of the franchise for a decade, for fucking peanuts and now he’s an over PPG player for his next two teams. We sold all of these fun players we’ve had for nothing and somehow went from a bad product to a worse one. It’s been a decade of this incompetence. This is the Mack family ruining the athletics all over ago but in the present.

Taylor Hall was placed on LTIR. It’s now time to move JVR to Boston. Pull the trigger, Chuck!

  21. MikeGolfTango

I don’t get it. Most of the deals Chuck makes (Giroux aside) he gets fleeced in. You would think all the GM’s would be lining up to talk to Chuck Fleecer (can’t take credit for that – was my buddy). But noooooo, nothing.

  22. bluspy88

I’m not a JVR hater, always liked him and think he’s had good chemistry and effort this year. I wouldn’t even be mad if he came back for a much lower rate for 1-2 years. BUT only after he is traded for other assets, because 1.) that’s what you do as a bottom feeder and 2.) there’s no guarantee he would come back and you shouldn’t guarantee that to him. We need to do what Buffalo has been doing, which is bring in and keep guys who want to be here, trade away those who don’t and assets that won’t help that process or be too old when there’s a window, and draft smart and often.

Can we rip down Clarke’s retired number banner and force him and Homer on the next plane to Tahiti where they can retire
