If half the team played as hard as Bert the wings would be in the playoffs every season.

  2. Old_kernel

The only way that image gets more Bertuzzi is if we see his teeth or lack there of

  3. MickeyTettleton

Looks like uncle Todd in the background? Lol

  4. Flowsnice

I’ll miss him. He played hard all the time

  5. culturedrobot

He’s a real life shitposter and I’m gonna miss him

  6. blade-icewood

He legit looks like he deals speed out of his Trans Am

  7. kyleadam

After watching Friday night lights for the first time this year all I can see is TIM FUCKING RIGGINS. And now I’m sad.

  8. wingsbert

My favorite redwing gone well good luck to Bert time to find a new favorite. I hate fucking Boston

  9. Prestigious-Lawyer13

This one hurt…excited for him to get that chance at the cup though! He really deserves it. We’ve got a bright future here in Detroit. Just gotta keep thinking positive.

  10. Shovelfuckurforehead

We give this twat a thank you thread but nobody else? Y’all are weird.

  11. HamberderHelper18

He’ll fit right in on the Bruins. Go win a cup Bert.

    ….wait a minute fuck Boston

  12. Bear_Jew1987

Absolute beauty. You will be missed.

  13. ediciusNJ

I get out of work and find this?! WTF. Oh well…at least it’s not to Pissburgh and he’s god a good shot at the Cup with Boston.

  14. Richman313

I wish him the best but really wish his team and the org could’ve found a way to make it work. Watching Larkin’s interview today shows that even if it’s a business move for longer term, it hurts now. Wouldn’t doubt if the wings don’t get up for the game tonight considering the circumstances

  15. Legend. Got us a first and fourth only to be back in a couple months.

  16. AFreePeacock

Good luck chasing the cup prince

Fuck boston forever I hope they blow it

  17. BigShiv77

Maybe he will realize how much we miss him and he will come back and sign a team friendly deal this summer. Lol

  18. selanne8ducks

Let’s say the Bs do win the cup. How awesome will it be to see a longtime wing lift the cup

  19. 7secretcrows

Imagine getting to be friends with Larkin, Fabbri, and Seider, just to name a few, and suddenly having to go be teammates with Marchand. People talk a lot of shit, but you could always see the smiles on the bench when Bertuzzi was there. I sincerely hope he comes back.

We’ve seen a lot of good players get moved over the last several years but this one’s been the hardest. Genuinely loved this guy and what he brought. When his line-mates score he celebrates just as hard as if he put it in. This guy has battled for years wearing the Winged Wheel and I wish him all the best.

It was probably a necessary move but it still sucks. Can’t wait for the day we aren’t sellers anymore.

  21. reflirt

I don’t think he re-signs in Boston. Hits the market most likely maybe comes back

  22. ando772

One night, yeah, and one more time

    Thanks for the memories

    Thanks for the memories

I was born and raised in Michigan. Lived there for a few decades. There are iconic pictures of Michigan that I occasionally see while browsing through various shit: Mackinaw Bridge, Ambassador bridge, the Detroit skyline, etc. When I see those pictures they remind me of home and the things that I miss. However, none of those images can compete with this one. You want Pure Michigan? This photo IS Pure Michigan and it should be on the goddamn welcome signs.

  24. mradenovirus

I don’t believe in the yzerplan anymore

  25. conner4892

He could be back guys don’t act like it’s over!

  26. the_eyes

I’m upset, but I’m actually glad. I don’t feel we’re a good enough team for Bert or his future, and this is the best thing for *his* future. I’m not a fan of the Bruins at all, but I will be cheering for Bert.

  27. fenderampeg

My favorite memory from Bert is when he first started with the Wings and his uncle, who was on the team at the time, talked about messing with him during training camp. Big Bert would just skate over and knock Tyler’s stick out of his hand just because he could.

  28. dingleberryo

Yeah that one kinda hurts. Loved the way the kid plays, good luck. Can’t help but feel that they could’ve gotten more for him.

  29. Cecil_Obrien

Still could resign in free agency

  30. iamjoe1994

I don’t wanna cheer for Boston but I love Bert

  31. Brooksie019

Dude gave his heart and soul to this team. Always the first one to grab a puck from a first goal etc for his teammates and stood up for them. Had a huge locker room precense, guys on this team loved him. He may not have been perfect but he is gonna be very hard to replace imo. I’m sure as hell gonna miss him.

  32. sawyerdk9

I’ll never forget all the shit he got for not getting vaxxed and then he comes back with a 4 goal game. Just glorious. I hope he comes back.

  33. AaronSlaughter

His jerseys were 65 bux at team shop
    Tonight.

  34. sawyerdk9

But he wouldn’t get vaxxed! REEE

I’ll miss Bert. He has an exciting style.

  35. joepizzaparty

Looks like a Google maps picture at Metro Beach

  36. MikeLitoris_________

I liked Bert as a player. He was a real gamer compared to the rest of the team. At the same time, I can see how Wings management might have been sick of his shit.

So-so in his own end, missed games because he wouldn’t get vaccinated, is hurt a lot, fairly streaky scorer, and then balks at contract negotiations.

Bert paved his way out of the D.

  37. TwoBallsagna

    Should have sent Larkin instead
