After picking up Gostisbehere & Puljujarvi this week, Carolina could have a fairly quiet deadline day, minus a minor-league deal or two. Unless something falls into their laps, or a team re-engages (Calgary?), it sounds like the #LetsGoCanes are comfortable with their roster.

Assumed this was the case. Oh well! Excited to see ghost and pool parties debuts! Go canes. The grass isn’t always greener.

We could probably get Monahan for cheap. Is he better than Kotkaniemi at the moment, maybe not. But he’d be cheap to acquire and we’d be off the hook for his contract at the end of the season. Would have to send back around $1.5 million in salary back the other way though.
So it would something like Monahan for Fast or Raanta plus a 2nd rounder.
