league altering trade
How should I feel about this?
Kind of surprised we never got to see Rydahl play for the rangers
Who dey?
Another short D-man…
Anton Blidh is a AHL plug (LW) who you probably won’t see crack the team given our LW depth.
Kalynuk is a 25 year-old Lefty Defenseman who had an ok NHL debut for the Blackhawks in 2020-2021. He’s been in the AHL ever since.
Blidh
LW. 12 career points in 84 career games. Averages 4th line mins in his career. Averages 2.4 hits per game.
Career corsi is below 50%. 70% D zone starts
On ice goals against per 60 all situations is 2.6.
He has not shown a scorers touch at any level and he has not been used as a PK (averages 40 secs of pk per game over his career)
Just based on a quick search on hockey reference we just trade for someone to stick in hartford and will probably show we are in a shit situation if he is playing meaningful mins for us.
Both are depth moves and maybe the avs see some upside in rydahl and wanted him
Feels like a favor to Rhydal more than anything. With Colorado’s injuries, he might actually get some playing time
A lot of names with too many consonants.
Kalynuk played with Miller In Wisconsin.
Kinda surprising Rydahl never played for the Rangers
Rydahl was decent in Hartford, but they have plenty of forwards who are playing better. Eight forwards have more points than him on the year (and that doesn’t include Will Lockwood who hasn’t suited up for Hartford yet) and he was recently in-and-out of the lineup. Wish him the best in Colorado.
OHHHHHHHH look more players we cant afford ever call up!
Stanley Cup confirmed.
Rydahl, we hardly knew ya!
