  1. Can the Oilers outscore their defensive issues?
    Yes.
    In the regular season.
A round or two in the playoffs?
    Perhaps.
    Third round or beyond?
    Not likely.

  2. So much skepticism of the Oilers after they win 2 series last year but nothing but hopeful commentary for a team that hasn’t won a series since 2004 😆🫢🤢🤮

Also, let’s not forget that they easily outscored said team at 5on5 the other night.

    A little consistency please.

  3. Defensive Issues? Hmm a bit out of date here. After the recent trade, much of their defensive issues have been overcome. There offence is the best in the league. Remember the Oil also have 4 guys in the top 20 including the 2 best players in the world with Kane waiting in the wings.

  4. Jeepers, this could get amusing, especially considering the source;

  5. If the Power Play goes cold? I guess a possibility with Barrie gone but the Oil currently have the best powerplay in the history of the NHL. It would have to go SUPER COLD!

  6. McDrai scored how much last Playoffs? On how many PP points? Lol, what a dumbass take. If you look back on history of the Cup winners, specifically the offensive-generated ones, they ALWAYS led the league in PP points. You know how PPs are called right? By causing issues during 5v5 play. Jeez, this is why this sport has the worst media analysts in pro sports.

  7. To win a series, maybe. To go to the final, not a chance. To be a cup contender 😅😂🤣 not in a million years

  8. I don’t see it happening. Scoring tightens up a lot in the playoffs. The real question is: do they have enough goal tending to keep up with the goal support. It’s possible, but they don’t match up well against the Kings or Avs.

  9. Theres no way you guys frogot Rnh who’s having a amazing season defensively and rnh, and Hyman, and the injured kane,

  10. Just forgetting Klim kostin who is going to be amazing tbis playoffs and yamomoto who’s hot rn, like all of you bias leaf fans are blinded and living in 2018

  11. are these guys fucking serious???? the oilers and the stanley cup shouldn't even share a sentence

  12. so tired of people we only rely on McDavid, he puts those points up on any team and you will say the same thing because he's miles better than everyone else (next closest in points is draisaitl and hes still 28 points behind) and the rest of the team gets disrespected for it.

  13. If anyone is going to beat Boston this year it's going to take a goaltender to get hot.

  14. I love how these guys call themselves analysts but know nothing about the team. They know basic stuff and listening to the speak is embarrassing

  15. C’mon on now TSN. Connor, Leon, Nuge, Hyman are all top scorers and point producers in the league. And you STILL think theyre “heavily” reliant on McDavid. Bruce should be aware of that when they got spanked multiple times this season by Edmonton.

  16. As much as I want to say yes. The awnser no … U have Carolina Boston in my opinion who I'm taking to the Stanley Cup final and then u have Minnesota if they get in . Flurry best goalie in league un my oppinion and the avs

  17. Over the last 25 games of all teams, the oilers rank in the top 7 of 5v5 goal differential…. “They rely on the powerplay too much” is such an overrated narrative

  18. I'd like to say that a 3-2 loss to the best team in the league doesn't represent a lack of defense, or a genuine leaning on offense
