I get the benching and I mostly support it. But I don’t see how a guy like Ian Cole is not benched but Point is.

I wish Coop would bench Stammer and Kuch for a game. They’ve been playing like ass and that 3rd period without them was some of the best Hockey I’ve seen us play this year.

Was very happy with Eyssimont and Jeannot. We’re gonna figure it out, just a bad streak rn.
More fight today, but still gotta do a lot of work to clean up. I think the Canes are gonna demolish us, and it’s probably for the best so we start getting back into gear for the playoffs.
Liking Eyssimont, but he is going to be a minor machine if he doesn’t chill. Also that KO was nastyyy, hopefully Stillman is alright.
For a while now I’ve been asking when there was gonna be any accountability shown for the complacency shown by the Bolts as of late. And I got my answer. Top line benched for a whole period. Honestly feels like that might be the thing that can turn things around, but this is also around the same time the Bolts play their worst hockey before the 1st round.
That’s the perk of winning 2 cups and making 3 straight Finals appearances.

There’s one period every game where we just completely shit the bed but we’re fine for the other two
100% support Coop benching our stars. Sometimes you gotta be hit with a wake up call to start the process of getting your head back in the game.
I do have to say I’m proud of our depth lines playing with heart and making it at least some what close in the 3rd. Curious to see Coopers reasoning behind the benching.

I love the benching. The other 9 forwards show how hard our stars should be playing at all times. We looked great in the 3rd. But we need to figure out our 2nd period issues fast. It’s getting out of hand
We had a similar slump around this time last year. We briefly fell into a Wild Card spot. Everyone panicked.

What’s a defense
Benching the top line did fuck all. They don’t have incentives built into their contracts. They sit there and get paid.
It’s Coopers job to make the players play. This is a coaching problem.

At least we didn’t give up two short handed goals on the same PP. I couldn’t imagine being a team that did that.
I question the decision to scratch Belly and play Maroon. Belly wins face offs, is a better, faster skater, is a better puck handler, and is strong on the PK. I like Maroon as a person, but Belly has more to offer. Now that we have Jeannot, and he can fight, as advertised!, Maroon is losing value, in my eyes.
I’ve been frustrated with Kuch’s casual passing resulting in turnovers for a while. The previous game he passed so poorly he put the puck right on the tape of the opponents stick, like it was a teammate!!! Bench the whole line today? Succeed with your line or sit with your line…
