I didn’t see that coming.
So we traded for Cal Foote to ride the bench now?
At least it’s only a year but I want him gone lmao
[Fabbro’s deal is 1-year $2.5](https://twitter.com/jeffmarek/status/1631747475991134213?s=46&t=8AETj4luItFMg9YAsfyf2A)
Yeah hey why not, unless Fabbro was over it and wanted a change of scenery why trade a young guy when you’re rebuilding. They have enough picks
now
I’m guessing a prove it deal?
I’m ok with it
It’s good business. I know y’all hate him for whatever weird reason but y’all also totally undervalued Ekholm before he was traded.
There’s no reason to trade Fabbro right now. He’s still super, super young in defensemen terms and he deserves a shot in whatever our new system is going to be. Plus his value has to be at an all time low so whatever you could recoup wouldn’t be much more than a 4th. This team is also really, really low on young D, so there’s not really anyone who isn’t getting a shot because Fabbro is there.
If it doesn’t work out we can trade him next deadline to a team like San Jose who either wants a reclamation project or any team who wants cheap D depth.
4 RHD going into next year. Someone’s gonna get the cut
So I guess we arent trading him lol
(face palm) ..
I like this honestly.
I guess we fire Trotz for this blunder.
Is he still a rfa after a year?
Makes sense. He’ll get definitive top four minutes and you can see what he can do. It’s not like you were getting a haul for him and if you still want to trade him flip him for whatever as a rental next year.
