Let's face it. Black people don't watch hockey. It's a fantastic sport but there just are enough black participants to quell our interests and there probably never will be. I got indoctrinated at an early age and I absolutely love the sport. It's fast-paced perpetual motion. They don't even stop to substitute. I can't hate on Stephen A for ignoring hockey but he's really missing out (Ask Michael Wilbon). Now golf on the other hand. Nothing is more boring than hearing old men talk about golf.

Hockey players are the toughest athletes, pound for pound. Nothing, and I mean nothing, tops the Stanley Cup playoffs. Four weeks of brutal competition with lined-up handshakes at the end of each round. Of all the four sports, I think hockey players feel it more when they lose, especially in the finals. And, the Stanley Cup is the best trophy in all sports.

hockey is just awful at promoting and trying to grow the league to new viewers. I think if there were more players that expressed themselves and tried to gain more of a following then people would be interested in tuning in. NHL simply can’t beat out the NBA or the NHL or even the MLB with the way the league operates
