Losing those 2 players was huge. It’s unfortunate but you can’t change it it’s gotta be a low feeling

Flames change their logo and jersey for a new social cause every other week but can’t win a game. With a season this bad, you start to wonder whether top management even care about the hockey.

I have seen hubby's passes go to nowhere more then a stick, chemistry is needed and that happens over time. Flames have sucked this year though boooo! At least we can say we don't have the best player in the league RIP 97
After losing Johnny Hockey and Tkachuk, this was EASY to predict.
They had Bill Peters as their HC, but decided to go woke and bow down to the mob.

And not even a mention of the atrocious goaltending. But you're right, the biggest problem is the blind faith in believing shot volume and hard work alone will translate to wins. This year's team had been a case study to prove the opposite.
The book is out on the Flames. Let them take their low percentage chances, clear the rebounds, and they'll get beat.
What's most amazing to me is how the players still have faith and are executing the flawed system. We outshot the Bruins last week 57-20, and lost 4-3. The players haven't given up, which is a positive I guess.
I don't think Sutter needs to be fired, but someone needs to get through to him that shooting first isn't always best. If the Flames just mixed in a few more passes instead of shots, they'd be better off, and less predictable.
I can't understand how huberdeau is literally going to hit half the points he did last year… flames need a new coach it seems

Both this team, and the coaching staff has been awful. I'm almost certain Sutter has told Huby "No East/West passes or else you're getting benched"
But, one thing I feel that needs to be mentioned, is aside from this bad play and coaching. CGY has had the worst puck luck this year.. endless posts, goals called back on questionable calls, awful soft calls at the worst times (TOR gets away w 2 trips, then goes down the ice and scores.. we get pushed into the goalie, get called for goalie interference, then they score w one of their guys laying on our goalie)..and to sum it up, how about that puck bouncing off the top of the back of the net for a bunt in for MIN?!?! If that was CGY the puck would've just stayed on the top of the net..
Whats sad is both the Flames & the cats may not make the post season after the huge trade before the start of the season
That's GM Treliving fault….
He didn't realise the real reason why Gaudreault and Tkachuk wanted to go.
They simply didn't want to play for Sutter.
Now, we have exactly the same situation with Huberdeau and Kadri.
Both Treliving and Sutter have to go.
Time to move on from Sutter period and maybe change up the system and style of play!!! That said Sutter is a good coach but only with Los Angeles hey it is true though.
Ottawa had this same problem all season, highest expected goals in the league but lowest even strength goals in the League
Coach Sutter and The Boys could use a nice team bonding bong rip session. We've got the seeds for their ganja plants. Happy Birds Fly Higher, even those making $10+ million and have 'Doobie' as part of their nickname! Hubie Doobie Doo, another shot passed up and pass picked off! Cheep Cheap!
