  1. Leaf haters need to find another sport to entertain, maybe the WWE wrestling or something. If you can’t banter like a true hockey fan but are only filled with hate towards a team, a fan base , a city then you’re not really a hockey fan. The media, good or bad, seeks the largest audience, and the Toronto sports fans are a large and loyal fan base, always have been, always will be.
To be fair the Maple Leafs are just one of three teams I cheer for. The other two are Seattle and Vancouver. The reason I cheer for these cities is simply because they are the three cities in the NHL that have awesome skylines. Imo the three most beautiful cities in the league…IMO.
    Go Leafs go
    Let’s go Kraken
    Wtf Canucks.
Stop hating and learn to banter like civilized people ffs, or go watch the WWE instead.

  2. Really brings Phil the thrill vibes to mind. Hopefully it’s not as serious as it looks

  3. goes to show you need a balanced team not just a one pony show. a lot of teams rely on one player and it never works out

  4. Leafs did too much this deadline. 1/3 changed for no reason. They deserve a first round exit.

  5. Matthews looked fine after he came back. His postgame comments were made to make him look tough

  6. I had a similar injury but I took a puck to the back of my knee. Obviously it was 13 years olds but still.

  7. Lol Leafs have been awesome all year with no ROR, Matthews has been hurt essentially all year.
Looks like your going for Leafs click bait.

  8. As a Chicago Bears fan, I have no sympathy for leafs fans. Everyone has that one team the choose not to give up on. They can root for another team, they just won't.

  9. "It's not uncommon for a guy to play through an injury that they shouldn't" ie.: knee injury, exploded balls, stroke (not an injury per se, but none the less)

  10. How could you not hate on the leafs? Bad decision after bad decision after bad decision. They don't really deserve it

  11. All I’m gonna say is go Buffalo!! They’ve missed so many playoffs now and they are playing very well

  12. I'll be surprised if O'Reilly isn't a broken finger. Likely 4 weeks. Hell, I crushed my finger at work in 5 places and returned to work in 6 weeks. I probably could have done it in 5 weeks if it was say the NHL playoffs I was returning to. And Matthews is likely a bad bruise. I could see him sitting for the NJ game on Tuesday and perhaps the Oilers on Saturday, but I don't foresee him being out much longer than 10 days. To be fair, I suppose it's possible its a broken bone, but I think that's way less likely here than a bruise. We shall see….

  13. I want the leafs so badly to to pass the first round this year. Screw the cup, can they just win the first round. I can't stand the disappointment every year, It's like they're cursed or something. 😭😭😭

  14. Canucks are vastly underperforming this year. Recent additions, plus Hronek and return of Demko makes them in the upper half of the league next year….if they make one or two moves to improve the blue line, like getting rid of Myers. No rebuild needed. Retool for sure.

  15. Bruins fan here…. I feel bad for the leafs and there fans, I really do. However, I still hope they don't get past the first round again 🤣

  16. Matthews didnt deserve the Hart last year and he is way too soft a player to be a true superstar. Dump him

  17. The Leafs are going to be fine. So many new pieces added during a long road trip, you can expect the team to be a bit of a mess when many players haven’t even settled into their new homes yet.

The chemistry will grow, the mindsets will expand, and everything will work itself out.

  18. Leafs suck and will always suck in the playoffs. There are better Canadian teams wake up kids

  19. There was a picture of O'Reilly floating around where he had a wrapped finger. Looked like it might be a broken finger and not a broken hand, which is a little better.

  20. I know it’s great like “putting the body on the line to block shots” but star forwards like Austin shouldn’t be risking injury by blocking this late in season my opinion tho

  21. There’s a photo going around of Oreilly with a splint on a finger. That’s a great sign for Leafs fans.
    No clue about Matthews though.
