  1. When your goalie can't stop a beach ball.
You will never pass the first round. He always get beat…

  2. Yup, could tell this one was gonna be an easy W. Maybe the leafs will have a heartbeat by next game but probably not. You can really tell the difference between a McDavid and Matthews when you see them in the same game… one disappears and the other draws all the pressure but still scores goals.

  3. Phenomenal talent, but call me when he has at least 4 cups, multiple 200 point seasons, 92 goals in a season…….

Don't tell me it was easier back then because if it was everyone would have those stats which they don't.

  4. Every time I watch him score, I just can’t understand how he does it. Every. Single. Time.

  5. McDavid can do whatever the hell he wants at any point and time, he either executes his intentions, or draws a penalty most times, amazing!

  6. his shot release is so sneaky i think goalies have trouble timing when the puck is gonna leave his stick. he can shoot from anywhere

  7. Lol that goal was definitely 5 hole.

All these kids these days make the goalies look like the don’t know the basics, but they just time their shots so well

  8. The level of superiority he has, in his sport, this hasn't been seen since Gretzky, Jordan.

  9. Friendly reminder that this time last year a large chunk of the Leafs fan base thought Matthews was the best player/goal scorer in the league 🤣

  10. You Gretz detractors, what you're seeing here is what 99 used to do. Sure the goalies weren't as mobile then, but what Wayner used to do was catch the goalies off guard, off step and slide that puck in the net. It made the goal look easy and the goalie look bad, but it was all about shiftiness, timing and pinpoint placement.

  11. Only the 3rd player THIS CENTURY to do it! He’s absolutely unbelievable, and still takes my breath away even after 7 years

  12. Its like he was offended that idiots tried to say other players were better than him

  13. Leafs-Bolts 1st round. Another 1st round exit for the LAUGHS this year!!!

  14. Imagine being one of those people who thought Matthews was better than McDavid 3 years ago. Matthews isn't even as good as Marner…

  15. Perfect way to sum up Connor. Just showed this to my girlfriend who doesn't follow ice hockey at all. "It's like the other guys aren't even trying".
