This Sens team reminds me of the one that cruised to the East Finals only to bow out in a game 7 OT (2016?). They are young and hungry with a lot to prove. With a couple key veteran acquisitions, they're kinda scary. I mean if they squeaked into the second wild card, Boston would beat them but Ottawa could take enough of a bite out of them to affect round 2. Being a Leafs fan, I am glad the rivalry is exciting again and the Atlantic is getting competitive again too. Good on them!
Making the playoffs this year would be a bonus buts its not expected. Get Norris back for next year and be ready for a solid start with all hands on deck.

The chychrun trade was good things are going in good direction. If makes playoffs great if not always next year.
They aren't like Winnipeg or Calgary where core has been there a while old and probably time for rebuilds soon. Or complete rebuild like Vancouver/retool Montreal.
And they have to outplay penguins,nyi,Florida,Washington, Buffalo, for wildcard spots.
Sadly for Ottawa they have tuff division
-Boston will eventually have to rebuild
-Maple leafs even without a willy or Matthew's could be good team.
-Lightning powerhouse,as long have Hedman,Vasilevskiy,Point,Sergachev,kucherov,Stamkos.
-Sabers have alot look forward too
-up and comming red wings
– and Montreal still needs pieces but if get Dubois and few more pieces will be good as well.
Panthers are aging and injury prone
