(Not a subscriber, I didn’t experience a paywall…) Excerpt: “It’s incredible how poorly the Anthony Mantha/Jakub Vrana trade worked for both sides given how much talent and promise each player offered at the time of the trade. Vrana was ultimately shipped at the deadline to the Blues at 50 percent retained for a seventh-round pick and AHL player….”

Who is shocked by OEL this season. I mean it’s worse than I thought but we didn’t have high expectations.

Honorable mentions should have included Chiarot he’s a -26 and a constant liability on the ice

Any answer other than Vrana is simpin

Even though Vrana didn’t work out, we were right to sell off Mantha and the trade has played out very well for us overall.

We dumped a highly talented but ridiculously lazy player for a highly talented but troubled player + a first and second round picks, and flipped that into walman, a 4th, a top end goalie prospect, and a talented goal scoring prospect(buchelnikov).

    It was a fleecing

Interesting that they didn’t include Vrana, but I’d like to think it’s a respect thing due to his personal issues. He is mentioned in the Mantha portion though.

Confirm, no paywall on this one.

How the hell is Jeff Carter on the list? Dude is pushing 40, it’s not his fault Pittsburgh is paying him. In fact, kudos to the man lol.
