Kaprizov was forced to leave the game and will be looked over tomorrow. Minnesota is praying right now.
Logan Stanley will at the very least face a fine.

Doesn’t want to be here and we don’t want him here, I wish we traded him last week.

That looked more like a result of a 5’10 » player crouching when a 6’7″ player was playing the body, I don’t think Stanley expected to be in the air and on Kaprizov’s back… At which point, he can’t do anything to stop anymore.
I hope he’s ok, but I don’t think there was any intent, just a fast game, and shit happens, especially with a 9″ size difference

Not trying to stir things up here, but this might have been a receipt for the blindside elbow in 2021.

I thought Bones comments comparing him to Oleksiak we’re interesting. Played similar 3rd line minutes at Stanley’s age, and really developed when he was traded to Pittsburgh.
His first year he was more aggressive and that really helps his play overall. Have only seen flashes of it since. Injuries haven’t helped.
I don’t blame him for asking for a trade cuz if Heinola wasn’t waiver exempt he’d be even further down the depth chart. A change of scenery might do him a lot of good.
As far as the hit tonight on Kaprizov. Dude basically got fallen on by a 6’7 Bambi. Shit happens.

No intent to injure, just happened to be a very big guy landing on a small guy who just so happened to sit awkwardly with said big guy on top of him.
Guys in the thread on r/hockey calling us the dirtiest team is laughable, I hope Kaprizov is not injured and never wish ill will on any player but there is nothing in this.

Hate to see the result but it looks like Kirill is trying to throw a reverse check to protect the puck as Stanley is bearing down on him and then the size mismatch + physics does the damage. I don’t think it was dirty or even worthy of a penalty just a super shitty result. Now if I go to Wild Twitter apparently he should be charged with attempted murder…

My thoughts are that we should have traded him at the deadline.

I think most of us are on the same page, big guy runs into small guy, small guy bends over, big guy falls on little guy. Not much big guy can do.

That’s the risk you take trying to play the body on someone twice your size

Just a hockey play. Nothing wrong with the check. Accidental result from an awkward check and losing balance.
