  1. He has been hanging around Wane Gretzky too long and becoming a real whiner , I hate the oilers , but its people like you and the media who make up all these lies , and yes they are complete lies . this wears on athletes who are asked the same question over and over again the media is out of control in Canada , and its that type of B.S that may force a player to move on and NOT resign with a Canadian team account of this …who needs this.

  2. They're wasting his potential, throwing away good opportunities that are for him

  3. Because he don’t care about the Molson Cup, he’s focused on the play off drive and that’s it

  4. Garbage, he's not happy being in the spotlight. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you like that part of your success.

  5. I’d be pissed too if I put up 2 goals and 2 assists and we still lost the game…

  6. If your not sure why’s he’s upset. Look up “2015 draft lottery”

  7. He's probably mad cause on nights he gets like 4 points, the team still loses. I'd be pissed off too; all that effort and no point for the team win.
All these personal achievements are nice, but at the end of the day, you want the team to win and to get into the playoffs and win the cup.

  8. That’s just how he looks. He doesn’t like talking about personal achievements he’s said that many times. He just wants to win. So I wouldn’t say he’s always pissed. He just doesn’t show a lot of emotion

  9. Mc David needs to realize he needs to get a great big goalie with fully high energy and to make sure he can rely upon him with long arms not like Campbell so the captain of the Oilers McDavid can play well and cheer him up about winning on the Oilers team as the new Oilers captain.

  10. Oilers fans think he wants to prove he's better than Matthews and it was a big mistake to award him MVP last year, when all you have to do it is look at McDavida reaction anytime the media asks him about 50 goals or 60 goals or the heart trophy, McDavid doesn't give the first sh!t about individual awards, everybody knows he's the best player, he wants to win a cup and if it isn't in Edmomton then it will be somewhere else.

  11. You can say the same thing about Pettersson in van, he doesn't smile much on or off the ice and often looks grumpy when talking with media. They like to win and I just think in order to be elite like players of that level they need to maintain focus and it comes through to us as grumpy or angry.

  12. He's probably just trying to be himself. That's probably why he's dominating, because he's centered

  13. He is having a generational season on not even too bad of a cap hit, and his teammates are struggling to perform other than Nuge, Draisatl and Hyman.

  14. I see it too, and I’m worried about his mental health. Professional hockey is a tough life. Constantly away from home, on airplanes, staying in hotels, monotonous routines, day in and day out. This alone is enough to tax most people, but throw in a competitive variable and internal drive to win…one can quickly become depressed and admonished about how much you’ve put in to something but aren’t seeing the gains you desire, and can start to blame your teammates, coaches, management, for not helping you achieve your goals when you are giving 100% every day.

  15. Edmonton was 49-33 last season with OTL…… this year… 35-30…. maybe this is why he is pissed. For all his scoring they are worse this year. 5 on 5 they are barely positive goal differential. They don't play well enough when they don't have to ~ to play well enough when they have to.

  16. Maybe he doesn't like carrying NHL players on the team who's prominent families get them in the league and on the team.

  17. Okay drama queen he's not pissed off he's frustrated…..big difference from the way you exaggerate…

  18. I know someone who was very close with Connor McDavid's family. I've known for a couple of years that he didn't want to be in Edmonton. He didn't want to be drafted by the Oilers. I know that he wants to come back to the east coast if you know what I mean.

  19. He’s actually a very humble but aloof guy. He has only one thing on his mind: win a cup (or two or three) in Edmonton. Edmonton is also not a shallow team anyone really. They have very good bottom six players and the defence is much improved with Eckholm. Really, their only issue is Campbell.
He dislikes personal awards and praise. He is an aloof and disciplined leader. You are reading way more into it than you need to.
And as for his irritated demeanour during interviews? Wouldn’t you be irritated if all you ever heard from reporters were: “you’re the highest scoring player in the world” or “why do you think you won/lost?”
