What a win. Absolutely amazing. Me, my dad, and my girlfriend went absolutely nuts. A win like that happens once every year and it was beautiful
Yet another 3rd period comeback. Incredible resilience. Wasn't great the 2 first periods, terrible and messy even. It felt like constant powerplay against them, even when it wasn't. Another 3rd period comeback, 17-1 in the last 10 matches.
Statement win for the Islanders. Finally beating back the teams behind them.

In other news…Isles fans everywhere spontaneously sh** themselves during that (almost) open net goal by Philly.
Watchng most of the1st and all of the 2nd period I really thought that game was lost. Being truthful even some of the third I thought that too. They can't survive on that kind of play consistantly but love to see the guts and grit they pulled out to get it done. As a student of sports pyschology I am more than interested in why a team can constantly play games within games.

What's with Mayfield? He was a Pittsburgh power play vending machine last night. IMO, he does this sheet when he's tired. He needs a maintenance day for sure, but we're short on D already. I'll admit the interference call was BS, but still. Lane should make some adjustments and cut Mayfields minutes for a couple of games.
Fasching scored a nice goal, but what's with the mouth breathing? It's weird as hell.
Barzal is still WEEK to week. This is troubling. I hope it isn't one of those "You need surgery, but perhaps it will heal enough to play in the PO's" type situations.
If Clutter comes back, I hope Lane rotates rest for Martin/Bailey/Parise/Clutter and keeps Fasching in. His confidence is growing and Lane should keep the ball rolling.

Can we please recognize how valuable Horvat is? This guy seems like a winner, he was just in a loser organization. The guy does everything Lambert asks him to do. What a game! Thank god I didn’t turn it off after the 3rd Pens goal
Also. When clutterbuck comes back, they better not take Hudson out of the lineup. Guys played his ass off and deserves ice time. He’s earned it.

Hi Gil—heck of a show! Well my Beer started getting warm and my pizza was a little cold but Holy Smokes!! Kidding me—that was one of the most exciting comebacks I’ve ever seen! We were badly outplayed and that has to stop! However—-who wants to play the Isles 1st round? Boston does? Really—armed with the best net in the NHL—and this magic swirling and a suffocating defense if they are focused—-yea ok. Yes we got outplayed but we’ve been playing solid hockey lately. Nothing to lose—0!! So Clutter about to return—Jg as well. Let’s see—-bye bye Bailey because if ya sit Fashing—coach is an idiot. Take your pick—-Holmstrom and Koivulu—-well they have to sit to make room for Barzie/Jg. I’d love to see Durandeau come back somehow. Boys—-Sorro glove save and stick brought back crazy incredible memories of the best $$$ goalie ever! Sorokin gives us a chance against anyone——Lee and Nelson got the job done—-but boys—-he’s not flashy—-he’s not speedy but Bo Knows how to play hockey and does the little things taht help you win——Barzie must be licking his chops!! We can’t win every game boys but why not another one and remind the rest—-this is our spot!! Take out the Caps—-their net sucks too!!
