  1. Just a reminder, winning the Presidents Trophy and loading up at the deadline usually in combination, means nothing ( I'm not bitter) lol

  2. Love this for Boston! Boston got what they needed. At some point a team has to go all in.

  3. Frankly, as a Leafs fan? Bring it the f*ck on. If we get past Tampa, this would be one HELL of a series – and frankly, while I would be disappointed to lose it… I wouldn't regret it for a second. Toronto and Boston are looking so strong rn…

  4. That's a lot to give up for Boston, pretty good return for Washington though.

  5. Trade deadline is mostly quiet… all we hear is rumors about all these trades but the majority of them are made before the deadline so players have time to get used to a new team. I hope my Flames aren't buyers and we just stay the course for this season. Unless our goaltending improves I don't like our chances. I'd rather maybe trade a couple players away for picks if we could.. Maybe Phillips for a 2nd and 3rd, as he most likely won't resign.

  6. Orlov and Hathaway will be missed, I am so happy as a Caps fan they have decided to fold it up and pack it in and start rebuilding this is the smart move. We aren’t cup contenders and GMBM swing and missed on the goalies in my opinion. It was time to make moves.

  7. Orlov depth piece … not sure any d man on Boston deserves to be sat out … especially Clifton with his physical play …. Good to add depth dman as we always lose D in playoffs … bruins 1st rounder would have been a late first anyways … Maybe too many draft picks but fuck it … let’s try one more year with berg and krecj … so Initial thoughts are win for both teams

  8. This was an awful transition…trading number one for a rental? this sucks so bad!

  9. as a bruins fan this is very exciting and a little nerve racking. It's completely all or nothing for Boston

  10. I really like this trade as a caps fan. Yes it’s sad we’re selling but it’s what we have to do. We’re not making the playoffs and the core is aging. Getting picks in this stacked draft is great and will kick start the inevitable rebuild. If we want to try to be decent next year we still can but being able to have these picks will be huge for the future because I really don’t see us winning a cup in the next few years. Right now we’re all just on ovi watch for the record.

  11. It’s going to be even more funny when Detroit or Florida beats them 1st round. Upsets still do exist. Just something to think about.
