    Worst GM in Philly sports history but the clowns above him who approved all these LT contracts he needs gone. I mean to give Sanhiem that deal this year was unbelievable. Considering all the money and assets wasted on D men

    Nobody on this team is pissed when they lose.
    Horrible situation!!!
    Years away from rectifying.
    No idea how to judge talent or heart.
    Can't watch a game. Bad hockey.

    I used to be a die hard Flyers fan. I think that Holmgren's last FU to the Flyers, before he got promoted, was to hire Fletch. I think he hired Fletch because he beat out Holmgren for those 2 10 year contacts for Parise an Sutter a free years back. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Fletch's moves over the last couple of years kept the Flyers just good enough to keep them out of the running for Bedard (an alleged generational player). If you look at the teams that are winning the cup. You'll see that they are terrible for 8-10 years. During those years, they are accumulating high draft picks, a couple of no 1's, and another 3-5 top 10's. Fletch was just keeping the Flyers in a position of perpetual mediocrity. I haven't watched a Flyers game in over 2 years. I don't miss it.

    This should have been done at least a few weeks ago or more. Briere should have had the deadline to start his audition. This is a start, a change was needed. Is Briere the answer? Who knows but it’s a start.

    If Torts gets a GM who backs his strategy and accountability plays with players the team has a chance to turn it around.

    Good discussion and many good points were made here. You can analyze a hundred different ways. The bottom line is they are a team with too many AHL level players. Yes, the Flyers have had awful GMs…Clarke, Holmgren, Fletcher, etc. This team has been struggling for so long, but they never change their ways. Until they start getting better talent, either through the draft and/or free agent signings nothing will change. We can only hope that Briere or a GM to be named later will be able to find better talent.

    Keep briere as g.m. Tear down the team to all your young talent .as far as veterans keep tk ,couts ,hart,frost ,Tippett ,Allison ,fArabee and any of the kids they have drafted from 2019 on..everybody get rid of.

    The time has come to clean house. Get rid of the "Good Old Boys" of Clarke, Holmgren, et al, and start new. Holmgren, Hextall, and Fletcher have DECIMATED this franchise. And stop with the Gaudreau BS. He WAS NOT what was needed at this point for this terrible team, and he is doing little to nothing with Columbus. It is time for a complete rebuild and let Briere have a REAL hockey staff and see what he can do

    Hextall passed on drafting Makar, and between him and Fletcher they have destroyed this team. The Flyers will not be relevant for years. Fletcher was not brought in to "rebuild" and had to sell the BS of a "retool", and that is from Comcast management. Dave Scott is also a HUGE part of the problem here.
