Tocchet had alot of positive things to say about Boeser, but added he’s been inconsistent & needs to get in on the forecheck. Talked about him potentially having a “change of heart” about staying with #Canucks. “He’s gotta get better. Regardless of if it’s here or somewhere else”

It really seems like his hearts not in it anymore. His best game of the season was hockey fights cancer night (the game he was almost scratched) where he had multiple points. He looked quicker, threw bigger checks, and generally looked way more engaged.
Change of heart meaning is wants to stay? Or that he wants to go?
Watching him float around for 6+ million is aggravating until you see OEL waffling on defence for 7.2
I love Brock and want him to stay, but it’s gonna suck even more trading him. This guy (if he stays healthy) can be a 30+ goal scorer and a near ppg player. He’s worth at least a 1st round pick and a good prospect or a young high quality top 4 defenseman, but there’s no way we’re getting that kinda return. So whatever the trade is gonna be, we’re likely getting fleeced.
Boeser desperately needs a fresh start somewhere. Great human, but the odds he ever eclipses his rookie year stats are slim. We should try to reclaim whatever value we can for him.
Some day we’ll learn just how badly the back injury derailed his career.
I believe in Brock. If we’re going to do this whole try and win now thing, I think we might as well keep him. He’s not playing up to his contract now, but he’ll get back into form at some point.
3 year contract was a major miscalculation, probably current management’s biggest screw up so far.

His skating is……not good. He’s never been the same after having his back broken in half.
I was at the game against the Ducks and honestly he looked like the worst player on the ice.
Im pretty sure playing for a team that has only suffered year in year out, kills your competitive mentality little by little. You need to be motivated to win and right now, canucks dont have that.
It’s not only his skating that’s killing plays. His anticipation has been horrible. He seems to always be a step behind. Last game i noticed he ripped a few wristers so that’s good to see at least. But i agree with coach on this one
