I know you have to be diplomatic – but to call this draft a slight disappointment just doesn't cover it. This was absolutely brutal. If Fletcher hadn't botched the JVR trade – the entire hockey media would have been focused on the shockingly abysmal performance of the Ducks and Verbeek. The Klingber bet / outcome was comical. Fletcher got fired for his performance. This is Verbeek's first shot at GM and he's failing. How can you give him the vital summer period when this draft deadline fell apart so horribly?
