Whelp, it was a fun season while it lasted

  2. Monkey paw curled with Tuch back at practice

Looks like playoffs is off the menu boys. Can they at least win the game when I go on my birthday against Montreal? Please?

Oof! Owen power is gassed too. Guy can’t handle 25+ mins a night 60 games into his first full season. He’s played excellent as a 20 year old but the minutes have caught up. 17 games of scouting left.

I wonder if it’s kinda the team giving up?

But anyways makes sense, why play injured when there’s no reason to play and risk bigger injuries?

It’s never been more over than it is right now

Yeesh, I’m suddenly doubting if this team can break 80 point… it would be pretty tough to accept them not clearing that bar

Aren’t we all “day to day?” /s

  9. BARDLER

Having Bryson out of the lineup was fun while it lasted.

You’ve got your choice of dated pop culture references:

    1. The episode of the Simpsons where the super team of baseball stars put together by Mr. Burns all suffer from increasingly bizarre mishaps resulting int hem being unable to play.

    2. The inability of Spinal Tap to have a consistent drummer in their lineup on account of spontaneous combustion.

    3. The band playing on as the ship sunk under the waves in Titanic.

So at this point the hockey gods owe us Bedard for their sudden blindness curse on the refs right?

UPDATE: entire sabres defense is “lifetime to lifetime”

  13. Yop_BombNA

Dahlin finally looked like himself last night too.

Honestly a couple more losses and we enter the territory of call up young guys and give them a sniff in the NHL to see what sticks for next year.

It is what it is, defensive depth is our biggest weakness and the best defensemen in the league is not 100% healthy.

Call up people not named Bryson of Clague and see what you have there.

Tage and Grandpa Craig now develop a sudden ache in their backs from carrying the team, and we suddenly find ourselves falling into a spot where we win the draft lottery, get Bedard, and laugh our way to the next 15 stanley cups.

Samuelsson potentially being injury prone is a dark spot on the season

  16. suppaman19

This year was big. Showed growth, got young guys experience, and also highlighted areas of need (bottom six grinding defensive oriented forwards, second pair defenseman, bottom pairing defensemen, starting goaltender).

I expect some moves this offseason, but it doesn’t need to be earth-shattering. Playoffs should’ve never been an expectation this year. I think next year they can be though.

Damn, I at least wanted to see Dahlin topple Housley’s season points record for a d-man. That, and Norris, slipping away.

  18. la_fontaine

Hopefully we don’t have 7 years of 45-50 game seasons out of Samuelsson

three weeks ago I wanted some better defensive help but that ship has sailed. I hate to say it but at this point I want Detroit to jump us and getter pick because I dont see us being worse the St Louis and Vancouver. Still 10 OA with a 7% chance of a top 2 pick is better than 12 OA with a 3% of 2nd OA and no chance of 1 OA.

  20. GenjiTheNerd

What jersey do you think Bedard will look the best in?

Obviously I have to go with the goathead.

  21. Philbar85

If Johnson signs this would be a good time to see him on the big league ice.

  22. buffaloprocess

    We’ll be a power house next year….

  23. dumpmaster42069

Time to let the kids learn I guess
