L’effet Klingberg ?? Ne pas blâmer Klingberg pour un jeu inhabituel de Gus. Mais ce commentaire de Deano utilisant la même critique qu’il a appliquée à JK est une intéressante… euh… coïncidence.

Klingberg is doing what he was brought in to do. Generate offense.

Not sure if his seaaon stats reflect last night. I doubt it. It says he has 5 games played, 3 assists, and is a +5. Yesterday he had another assist.

Sorry, I’m just discounting all « all offensive defenseman is doing offense » criticism right now. He’s doing his job, which was to replace Calen Addison on the roster.

If we lost yesterday it was because of Gus, Goligoski, and Merrill.

« Goalies not in a rhythm » is an understandable excuse, but one I’ve never liked. In beer league or organized hockey. You’re basically admitting to punishing your team because they had possession.

I think it’s more a comment on missing Brodin. His impact is substantial. And Klingberg has less than 1 GA/60. It’s not like he’s why goals are going in. The Dumba/Goligoski pairing is and has always been a train wreck.

I think Dean’s comments are referring to the adjustment that Klingberg needs to make in moving from a tanking team to a contender (and a defense-focused contender at that). I’m not surprised that it’s taking a few games to make that adjustment.

Klingberg was +1 yesterday. Dumba and Goligoski were -2.

This is the first game where it really made me want Brodin back. Just look at the Coyote’s fourth goal. Goose is coming in down the wing covering the McBain, where Dumba is positioned in front of the net flat footed. Goose just points like ‘you take him now’ and leaves, letting McBain have all the time in the world to dish to Keller for the goal. Just a bad defensive play that could have easily been avoided if Goose just stayed with his man.

Brodin/Klingberg should be neat on Tuesday. Team is saying Brodin should be good to go.

I think Gus is not a Vezina winner and every now and then you’re going to have him let up a bunch of high-danger chances.

I mean, it’s fun to get on the Gus Bus and everything but the guy is not him. Hopefully he’ll be in stride enough to make April a fun month, but that’s about all our expectations should be.

goligoski is just total crap. dude still playing offensively like he’s 27 and generates nothing. brodin can’t get back soon enough so he’s in the press box.
