we scored 4 times !
So we lost. It happens. What are you gonna do?
(Shrugs)
Yowzah
5 more and we would’ve won.

I’d have preferred 5-4 to 8-4, but that’s life. If anyone wants to do some Editor in Leafs-level posting, you can say « they only lost 5-3 at even strength to the reigning champs » and claim a moral victory. Best parts of the game were 2 points for each of Zukes and Andy, as well as that slick Matheson goal. Worst part was Rem getting hurt. Feel bad for Jake Allen. I’d have pulled him after the 1st.
A few too many goals but otherwise a perfect game – 4 goals, 2 points for Suzuki and Gurianov is at least looking like a worthwhile project. The whole hardest schedule thing + AHL roster was visible tonight, good for the tank.
Fuck we were so close
We don’t get to watch the Avs a lot… but I’m disappointed in what I’ve seen from MacKinnon. He’s such a crybaby, holy shit.
I hope we get michkov, bedard is out of reach sadly.
Not a lot of positive here to say but i’ll try.
Great 3rd period, team has no quit.
Anderson looked pissed about the results and really tried his best to lead the team out of its torpor. I am so happy he stayed, he’s my favorite Habs player since the Cup run and has his longuest hot strike ever with us.
Monty, Suzuki, RHP and Matheson still played well tonight.
Finally, i wanted to talk about Gurianov. 3G 1A, 4 points in 8 games while just arriving in a new system with mostly AHL players. I can’t wait to see what i will become in the coming months. Right before the match started fricking Benoit Brunet was yapping the guy was a bust… what a tool.
After a run of surprisingly competitive games, we were due for one of these.
Suzuki got two points, which was nice. Anderson has somewhat quietly been having a pretty decent season.
At this point, give Gurianov his QO for next year and see what you can do over a full season. If he shapes up okay, he might even be a useful deadline trade asset.
Belzile is still the man.
We have like 5 out of 12 forwards healthy who started the year and we’re running out of callups.
Time for Teasdale or Simoneau?
Anderson played a great game and Suzuki somehow came out of that one at +1
That gdt got fucking hilarious. Gg Habs onto next one
When your goalies aren’t expected to make saves I guess.
Perfect tank game because most nights 4 goals would win you the game. Tanking in style!
Quaunor Beydaar
actually surprised we managed to pot 4 with the line-up we have rn
If you forget the Avs’ first 4 unanswered goals, we tied 4-4!
Joking aside, it’s encouraging to see how Martin can keep the guys motivated despite everything. Makes you wonder how it’d be if he had actual talent to work with.
Also: I’m glad we’re not slipping in the role of loveable losers. I much prefer the role of « thank God we won now let’s gtfo this town »
May this game show everyone what our team could be if we tank
I’ll be honest here, I turned off this game to watch the Leafs-Sabres game. I am not disappointed in that decision.
Leafs blew a two goal lead and Nylander celebrated for absolutely nothing.
Lehky…
Lehkonen finally becomes the 20 goal scorer that Habs had hoped for but on another team and against the Habs no less…then promptly gets injured.
Quebecers were ^(thiiiiiiiiiiiiis) close to free chicken wings.
The boys showed a lot of fight tonight. I’m liking what I’m seeing from Josh Anderson lately.
Well… that was brutal.
Then it became a bit less brutal…
But in the end it was kinda brutal… at least they scored some goals.

Stupid DST made me miss the first period, I tuned in just in time for Anderson’s goal.
Was at the game tonight. I am still out drinking.
