I hope management let's Daniel and Henrik Sedin make the first round pick this year.
Gotta hand it to Burkie for this one.
The twin Archies of Sweden got drafted by the Vancouver Canucks. Haha…. Just having a little fun. The Sedins left numerous great memories for the hockey team. Sorry to see them go, but we will always remember Daniel and Hendrick. Plus the goofy commercial they did with some guys who wanted to party with Swedish twins. Thank you Sedins!
No disrespect to Daniel but Henrik was my favourite from day one. Centre/playmaker is a tougher position to play rather than the finisher.
possibly the greatest draft day moves in NHL history
I wish this is a tease for getting Jack Hughes
These trades were gold. Burke was pretty bold. Lots of games tickets were sold. I feel so old.
Remember when we had a first overall pick that one time for all of 10 seconds
Weak draft
😍
Again in June 1999.
Imagine if Chicago refused to trade their pick. I doubt either players would of reached a thousand points and wouldn't of had such a great career.
they needed burke again and they would've somehow got jack
Brian Burke was making mad moves for this to happen
Why didn’t they just get one of them using the 1st overall pick and the other with the 3rd because Atlanta was already gonna pick Patrik Stefan?
damn canucks went through a lot to make sure they get 2 picks in a row
only good decision burke has ever made
twins that get drafted at the exact same time lol thats such a twin thing to do
I miss the sedins
I watched that draft live because of the intrigue around the Sedins and seeing where they would play. I never thought they would wind up on the same team. Sheer brilliance on Brian Burke's part.
