I promise I’m not defending him at all, but maybe they just saw a random wheelchair at the top of the steps and didn’t think « hey this could be somebodies who is using the restroom ». No matter what still wrong but maybe not as disgusting as it seems.

  2. Crittetnuts

Pretty nice of him knowing his old man’s got the money to replace it with a better one.

  3. Bright-Telephone-974

Poorly brought up a-holes who face very little consequences.

  4. BubbaSpanks

Well kiss college goodbye (hopefully school kicks him out) might’ve cost dad his job in the NHL…but then again it’s Philly…can’t wait to see how this one plays out

  5. RunTellDaat

Hockey player being a douche? No way
    /s

  6. Ok-Reference-112

Guess he doesn’t like playing hockey that much

  7. Gratitude89

What he did is awful. But now we go after entire families? The dudes an adult. Let him deal with it.

His dad might have raised him right and he still turned out to be a dick. Just like that Simpson episode where Stampy starts head butting the other elephants as soon as he’s free. Some people are just jerks. Kick him off his team and he can figure it out from there

  9. RUKnight31

Knowing Philly sports fans in general this may actually be good for his rep around town. . .

  10. clances1

Needs a visit from Sean Couturier. Can’t imagine he’d like hearing about this news.

  11. ubcthrowaway-01

Lol Philly can’t catch a break

  12. fdisfragameosoldiers

Just the publicity the Flyers need right now. « Hey we brought in a new GM to change the culture of the team. Real good hard working, family man and proud father »/s

  13. Numerous-Explorer-18

Young people do dumb things. Sometimes even good people make a dick moves. He will hopefully apologize.

  14. Porkchopp33

Poor fcking girl rough life already dickhead hey lets see her get her wheel chair from the bottom of stairs

  15. milin85

How is this his dad’s fault, I don’t get that?

  16. Drunk college kid does something stupid. News at 11.

  17. Totknax

This is beyond fucked up. What a punk ass!

Still don’t know what these threads have to do with the NHL. At least when it was Mitchell Miller, he had just been signed with the Bruins, so it was relevant. Not every awful thing a family member of a former NHLer does should be on here, but I think we learned that no one really mods this thread.

I live like 15 minutes from the school.

The erie subreddit is tearing a hole in this guy. Mercyhurst is a DIII school on the Westside of erie.

“It might seem like nothing more than immature, drunken behaviour, but what Brière and his friends did is a frightening example of complete disregard for the humanity of disabled people,” Ladau told Yahoo Sports Canada. “As a wheelchair user, even when I’m not physically sitting in it, I consider my chair an extension of my body. Damaging my wheelchair means you’re disrespecting me and taking away my freedom of movement. The issue here isn’t just damaged property or bad choices; it’s that ableism, privilege, and entitlement are on full display.”

  21. Judge_Rhinohold

Typical rich asshole hockey kid who will never face any real consequences for his actions. Daddy will pay his way out of trouble and he will carry on acting like a douchebag.

  22. Sonicboom343

This could’ve gone way worse as well, imagine someone walking in at the bottom of the stairs to look up and see a wheelchair crashing into them

  23. Mahonneyy123

Drunk at a party being an idiot. That super sucks. I’m almost HUNDRED percent sure none of us have ever made drunk mistakes

  24. TheIncredibleHork

Everything… ***Everything*** you do is on camera. And you can easily be identified. And put on the Internet for all to see.

Just behave as if this is true, which it predominantly is, and you’ll actually make it through much of life without proof that you’re an ass-hat. And hey, by not acting like an ass-hat, you might actually become someone who is not an ass-hat!

  25. enditallalready2

Did not know Danny was a GM

  26. Equal-Detective357

Didn’t he learn from the kid, I forget who drafted him, that bullied the disabled individual , made him lick a urinal or Slava voynov …

Bettman may do alot we don’t like, but 0 tolerance to bullshit like this, is most excellent.
