It’s clear more than ever that Kyle Dubas didn’t do anywhere near enough, leading up to and including last week’s trade deadline, to improve depth scoring or blueline. Even with the addition of Ryan O’Reilly, subpar offence has been a problem in too many games following that acquisition.
Why don’t holl have to fight for hi ice time. Keefe is the leafs problem.
The fans who commented below me CLEARLY don't know a thing about hockey, how the GM job works or what the coach is deciding in the moment. Experiments and Final pairings/lines are two different things. All this is to see what he's got leading up to Game 1 and who his reserves will be… Oh and by the way ….THE LEAFS ARE 4TH OVERALL IN THE NHL …I think these guys know what they're doing and up to. Not clowns like these below.

What does Keefe think is going to happen when McDavid gets on the ice and Rielly and Gustavsson are the Leaf's D pair? Last change is great but McDavid can be put on the ice on the fly and they can put him on with any linemates.
If you are hoping for any sort of justice for those car thieves don't hold your breath. They are probably already back on the streets and they likely won't be punished in any way that would deter them from doing it again.

Guess Keefe doesn't think this game all that important. Leafs need revenge for that pasting they took in Edmonton, and bragging rights for best team in Canada. Keefe is acting like Leafs are well out of the playoff hunt, so monkey around with everything, bring up prospects etc. I get the "want to get everyone involved" argument, but why couldn't this all be done vs, teams trying to get Bedard? This could wind up being a really ugly loss, and do damage to the team's psyche.
I don't like all the betting conversation, was not necessary. Yeah, it's become a big part of Hockey lately (big mistake), but the gamblers, (or soon to be gamblers) can go elsewhere for the betting info.
