When was the last time we had a goalie fight!? How could they do that!!
It’s my instinct to be annoyed at the refs because who doesn’t want to see Binnington get popped? But something tells me the decision to prevent goalie fights comes from higher up in the league. Ref has to do his job the way his employer asks. It’s too hard to get into the league to throw it away on appeasing fans rather than their bosses.
Seems like the linesmen always step in for potential goalie fights. I wonder how the NHL views these situations. The fans love it and it will get some good social media attention.
