Idk. It’s absolutely ridiculous a whistle didn’t blow. But it didn’t and he kept playing. Give me that guy over the one that leaves the puck uncovered in his own crease before the whistle blew.

As Ryker said , since the age of 7. You are taught to play until you hear a whistle. This man played until he heard a whistle

Crazy how they don’t blow whistle on that play, but after JoJo’s incredible save they blow it while it’s still moving around. I mean I’ll take the calls. But I can absolutely see how livid everyone around the Ottawa organization should be.

I never feel guilty for getting a fortunate call in sports. I’ve seen my teams on the receiving end of enough bad calls to know that it all pretty much evens out

I don’t get why everyone is freaking out about the whistle. PLAY TO THE WHISTLE. literally taught as one of the foundational principles of the game. You learn this at age 6 or 7. Absolutely zero excuse from the sens. Especially the goalie.

  6. Idgaf I’ll take whatever bounce we can get

This may be an unpopular opinion but bad officiating, like it or not, it’s part of sports that isn’t going away unless it is replaced by AI in the future or something. It’s a part of the game like bad weather in outdoor sports, bad ice in hockey or fatigue and injuries. Players and coaches making mistakes add to the drama of sports. Refs making mistakes may not add much but it’s always going to be part of the game like it or not.

The Senators players assumed a call would be made and Lars didn’t and got a goal out of it. He was the one who adapted to the fact that sometimes the wrong call is made.

I know people were very underwhelmed with the signing but I loved it and he’s starting to really find his groove. That Cogs-Lars-LOC line has become a complete shutdown line and Bednar is using it against the other team’s top 2 lines with GREAT results the past few games. If they keep this up it’ll give us the kind of overwhelming depth that we used to grind out opponents to dust on last year’s run. I hope all the people that were lambasting C-Mac are noticing.

Eller may not have been the hero we wanted, but he may have been exactly what we needed.
