  1. I think Adam just has horrible takes when it comes to Ottawa. The Leafs homer in him comes out every time he talks about them.

I truly believe the Sens are going to be consistent playoff team starting next season.

My dream scenario is the leafs losing this year in the first round, facing Ottawa next year and losing in the first round, the first podcast after that would be just absolutely hilarious.

In all seriousness, good luck with the playoffs this season, you guys are actually looking pretty dangerous and I think Tampa might be running out of gas. A second round of Boston and Toronto would be pretty fun to watch. But keep in mind, Ottawa has won 2 playoff rounds since 2017 and they could potentially go 6 years without making the playoffs and still have more rounds won then the Leafs in that time. 😂😂

  2. As a senators fan they’re just inconsistent and that’s it. They have the team THATS very good and very well capable of beating anyone but I’m not sure they just don’t have it some nights. Maybe a few more veterans in the room could help but either way this season has been a giant leap forward and I think next year if they start the season a little bit better they’ll be in contention for playoffs! I’d rather them miss playoffs by a few points then try and get a lottery pick and I think every sens player will agree with that

  3. How many first rounds have the Leafs won? I was at the eastern Conference finals in Ottawa in 2017. Where were you guys?

  4. The Senators usually don’t fair well against Western Canadian teams and that is what this road trip and losing streak was. It was expected especially with a 3rd string rookie goalie.

What Ottawa wanted this year was meaningful games at the trade deadline and they have that. Making the playoffs was always a stretch goal and there is still a slim possibility of that happening. Ottawa has a bright future to look forward to. Toronto’s future has a look of losing both Nylander and Matthews if they don’t get out of the first round this year.

About Ottawa’s top 6 against Toronto’s. One has to remember that Norris, the teams leading goal scorer last year, has been out the entire season so it is very difficult to measure as Brassard and Pinto had to step up and fill a role neither are suited for long term. That will always effect team numbers.
But what I can tell you, as of this post, Giroux has more points Tavares. Stutzle has more goals than Matthews and Brady Tkachuk is a point per game agitator who doesn’t get demoted to the fourth line like Bunting. Marner and Nylander are Toronto’s only saving graces and Leaf fans wanted to run them both out of town two years ago and who was the other top 6 prior to the O’Reilly trade? Plug McPluggier? I personally would take either DeBrincat or Batherson over anyone the Leafs had to slot into the top 6 prior to O’Reilly arriving and even then I still think I’d take DeBrincat even with a down year in goals.

  5. I know Adam is trying to be entertaining with the start of this video but it's just a bad take. With where they're at today the Senators would be a near lock coming out of a very competitive Eastern conference but they lost Talbot (4x) Forsberg & Norris (for the season) and had both Chabot & Stutzle out Nov/Dec. You get those players in the lineup and even moderate production from DeBrincat (among others) at 5v5 it's a totally different story. That said, while they've made a significant leap they need to learn to lose more gracefully.. 2nd lowest loser point total in the league – wild card teams have 10 & 8 respectively. Adds up.

  6. If he wants to get paid more than stutzle than play better than him…

  7. adam shouldn't be allowed to talk about any leaf rivals. dude is so biased, its unreal. enjoy the first round exit you clown.

  8. Acting like making the playoffs makes you good. Leafs cant make it past first couple rounds no matter how much they spend. You can't buy chemistry, it has to be built. Sens suck real bad, but they tried to build a team around that instead of throwing money at the problems.

  9. The takes have been misinformed all season, worse than ever to be honest. Nothing against you guys, I know it is hard to keep up with everything and you are entitled to your feelings, but maybe bring in a guest from the market or something so there is a balancing voice to help make it actually meaningful from people familiar with the situation. It just screams completely out of it when you have these static takes about a team that is very clearly competitive, despite missing huge pieces. This isn't even close to the same team from 2 years ago, you need to stop talking like it is.

  10. I can remember a time when somebody said Austin Matthews is the best forward in the world … 🤷‍♂️ how did that age? 🤔

  11. People keep bringing up Dorion's "The rebuild is over" quote that he made in clear distress. But I would say it was and is. He has the core locked up (Brady, Stutzle, Chabot, Norris, Batherson [although we have to see with him] Forsberg.)
All they need to do now is solidify the team around it. If that classifies the rebuild as "not over" then no rebuild is ever over. I hate to bring up the Leafs but haven't they replaced over half their roster in the last two years? Is the rebuild not over for them? It also hasn't gotten them anywhere closer to their goal but I won't go further.

  12. I think losing their top line center and two starting goalies might have something to do with it.

  13. Yada yada yada. If my core was as old as Torontos and I still didn't have any confidence in the team I certainly wouldn't be critical of a bunch of kids just getting started in Ottawa

  14. 5:45 also formenton. That’s a 20 goal guy gone for the entire season which doesn’t help. Sens problem this year is depth scoring and formenton would’ve been that. Led the league in shorthanded goals last year. It’s something that understandably people forget to mention, but it’s a valid point
