He’s right. They left Schmid out to dry. I can probably count on 1 hand how many games Schmid has played where he didn’t give us a chance to win.
Schmid was fantastic, again. He was massively let down by those in front of him.

He says this isn’t Devils hockey but it kind of is. Obviously they’re better than this, but this is such a familiar story it’s hard not to laugh at that comment. I mean good for him trying to rise above that but the proof is what the on ice product is.
I agree with Lindy on this one… Schmid played out of his mind last night… one goal off literal puck luck, one goal off a turn over that should have been a tripping penalty and a shot off the rip on a PP that shouldn’t have happened if we played disciplined hockey… our guys were gliding into the defensive zone all game, zero hustle except for our top line and the third line for a few shifts. Our second line basically stayed in the hotel all night because they made zero impact last night.
With all that being said… Nico scoring the shortie was awesome, Schmid is a force, Lazar/Timo/Seigs throwing weight was nice…
